& then it will work its way up to 365K

I don't dare to say 370K yet just because in case certain circumstances happens

^I hope that non of us like albums because of sales so even if it would sell 1 copy and you would like it you should still listen to it and not because how well it sells xD.
I still stand by it that the sales aren't bad at all even if they are not amazing.
I'm more surprised about ikimonogakari's album selling 400,000 (unless if they had singles doing well or something).

ikimonogakari had too many anime tie-ins their new single isn't doing that great though xD

It HAS to beat TRICK, TRICK is such a bad album...Well, sales are not about quality but promotion after all and avex doesn't even try to promote ayu anymore it seems

only a few good songs, plus a thousand bleh songs, and awful covers and artwork in general EWWW

That's a very funny reason to like an album. Some fans are loyal to the extent that they will buy albums from their favourite artistes even though they do not like it. But it's undeniable that an album which sells well will generate more interest and curiosity, so there's a sort of upward push effect. I think hype is a very fortunate thing to come by and it's not happening with ayu right now.

The sales aren't bad at all but I find it alarming, considering that it's Ayumi Hamasaki. I'm glad that most of the AHS members have supported ayu's album and i guess we can only hope the next one will do better.

tsk for not liking TRICK . I personally like it more than Kingdom . Kingdom was quite disappointing imo & the album tracks on there , felt like leftover tunes from her Black Cherry album

in fact I listen to it more than Kingdom LMAO

I'm not sure it will (I hope it will). TRICK had the advantage of being released first and had better promotion if I remember correctly. I'm sure if the tables were turned, NEXT LEVEL would have about the same sales as TRICK and vise versa.

TRICK and NL did have something in common though - not very good covers.
but of course i'd rather listen to ayu's vibrato on repeat for hours than listen to 20 seconds of koda's "ai no kotoba" voice. NL was much better than TRICK imo TRICK just put another nail in the coffin of koda's career. selling more than NL doesn't mean it's a better album so i don't really mind it's selling more. it's just like how Black Cherry wasn't better than Secret but sold a lot more.

I think it's depressing that even with promotion, a certain someone still didn't do too well.

Ayu promoted the album like once, and she's still doing okay.

NEXT LEVEL won't sell more than Trick...but on the brighter side, atleast ayu's album sales drop is less than koda's (black cherry->kingdom->trick, secret->guilty->next level) and the album sales are getting closer too.
