Good point! Hadn't considered that.

"Kingdom" is one of my favourite albums of her (I think I can even say the most favourite) together with "JAPONESQUE". I used to like Kuu starting from her 2nd album but "Kingdom" and 12 singles in 12 weeks makes me classified her as one of my favourite J-Pop singers. Since "Kingdom" every another album is really good with some strong and memorable tracks.

I think songs on WOML are good enough as they are. They don't give me a demo vibe at all. Album just sounds more western than her previous ones because all songs are composed by western producers. I think people has a issue with that. It doesn't sound Japanese at all.

Agreed. I don't find them unfinished at all. Perhaps minimalistic, but I don't think that takes away from them at all.

Speaking of things that were unpopular with Kuu fans that are now more popular, I think Kloop seems to be gaining fans, too lol. I've been a fan since day one, I'm glad people seem to like it (him/her?) more.

I don't suppose anyone will upload the new goods on here, I don't have a FB account.

The captions included in the button badges are amusing

I think what turned people off when WOML was released was the sound because it's quite Urban sounding and its melodies are not typical on what you find in a Japanese album

Oddly I'm the rare few that really liked WOML on 1st listen . I think not hearing the instrumental demos helped but at least sound wise , it's quite consistently from start until finish , unlike some of past Kuu albums where it was all over the place

Let alone sometimes the album tracks might be poor while the singles are great & vice versa , hence the sound consistency focus is not there

The new goods are also up on mu-mo:

Did you guys ever listen to WOML on good headphones?
Pretty much the whole album sounds better and also richer. A less quality rip definitely absorbs quite a lot of the details from the songs. More than with her previous albums I'm afraid.

A band I know, Augustines, just released an album, and that's the cover:

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thought it looked too much like Kuu's KXVK logo/tour stuff

Currently preparing a speach about Kuu I gonna hold in my Japanese class and reading through her Japanese bio on her official site as well as her Japanese Wikipedia, there are some interesting things mentioned.

E.g. Koi no Tsubomi sold about 3 millions digitally till today, but it has already sold 1 million digitally before the actual physical single was released!
Or did you know Black Cherry is called a "Monster album" in Japan?
Have to read further to see if they explain it a bit more.

Btw. 36 dates from 59 of Best Single Collection Tour arw currently sold out.

Awesome how Kuu's concerts always gets sold out. That's just awesome. She totally deserves it because she's the best live performer to come from Japan. Obviously people wants to go to her concerts because they're the best ones out there.

And Black Cherry is a 'monster album? I hope that's not a negative opinion on the album made by her haters. Kuu haters are known for being brutal with their hate speeches.

I can explain it: in Japanese word "monster" refering not only to imaginary creature but also something big/huge/important. If you refering to person as "monster" it means "V.I.P" or "someone with influence" for ex. "monster artist" is translating as "huge artist" or "artist who has big influence (on market)". If you speak about things than for ex. "monster hit" means "hit smashing music charts" or in case of "monster album" you translating it as "invincible album" or "crucial album". Make sense? I hope it helped.

No, it's not by her haters and not meant in a negative sense. But her Wikipedia only mentions it in connection with it being a huge hit.

^its probably connected to the amount of singles, her success at that time and the overall bigness of the album. It was clear that it will sell 1million when it was announced.

^ Exactly. It was a moment when she became really popular and album was a crucial release (at that point) because it was full of hits + contained first song composed by her (kind of like new chapter in her career).
