FACE to Face - As expected , I really love the whole song + PV . PV wise , I think it's much better than EXPOSE (even though the song's still great but the PV was poorly executed imo)

FLASH - HOLY MOLY , Taguchi . I think so far this's my fave solo from their special solo back to back project

Wow wasn't expecting this from him especially since he's not the best singer in the group but love those dance moves & FLASH is not bad at all

And ahahaha at Kame's cameo in the PV xD xD xD

Something tells me I'm going to like FACE to Face a lot , so can't wait <3

KAT-TUN have achieved the top spot with their 21st single, "FACE to Face". This is also their 21st consecutive n0.1 single since debuting with "Real Face" (March 2006). The title track is the theme song for the movie starring member, Kamenashi Kazuya, "Ore Ore" (to be released on the 25th). This is the first time for their movie theme song to top the chart.

Very close no.s between KAT-TUN & T.M.R x Mizuki Nana wow but real glad that KAT-TUN got #1 overall as FACE to Face is awesome xD

doubt so , I say at most 2 more singles before a new album

Ueda & Kame are the only ones that haven't put their solos separately in the singles x)

yeah the most no. of singles included in their album is 5 , which's CHAIN

I just feel that it sounds a bit weird should they announce they will release a new album next as from Fumetsu no Scrum onwards , they've been including 1 solo track back to back

So far , Tanaka , Nakamaru & Taguchi have their solos included in their singles . Ueda & Kame are the last 2

Will seemed weird should this 'cycle' get break up & then to wait for another year or so for the last 2 members to input their solos in their singles but that's just me

They already said they will be doing this for EACH member from Fumetsu no Scrum onwards

Wouldn't it be funny should the more popular members not get it but only the less popular members in the group had this chance to do so ?

I wouldn't be surprised if Kame will be the last to include his own solo song in a future single of theirs

Released on May 15th, KAT-TUN's 21st single "FACE to Face" has sold 132,000 copies on its first week, topping May 27th weekly sales chart. This is also their 21st consecutive single to top charts since their debut single "Real Face" released on March, 2006.

This work has been used as theme song of Kamenashi Kazuya starring movie "Ore Ore" (Premiered May 25th). KAT-TUN was responsible of the production for the first time. Includes Taguchi Junnosuke's solo "FLASH".

Higashiyama Noriyuki & Taguchi Junnosuke to star in new NHK drama

On May 9th it was revealed that Shounentai Higashiyama Noriyuki (46) will star in NHK's new drama "Nanatsu no Kaigi" (Saturdays 9PM). The said drama will start on July 13th and will have a total of 4 episodes. He will play the role of Harashima Manji, a salaryman in the middle of fight against evil. KAT-TUN Taguchi Junnosuke (27) has also been reported as member of the cast. From the original novel under the same name written by Naoki Award winner, writer Ikeido Jun (49).

Well-liked and trusted by all in his department at Tokyo Kenden, a mid-sized manufacturer, sales manager Sakado is accused of power harassment by Yasumi—an older colleague with a reputation for being a slacker and forever stuck at the rank of assistant manager. Against all expectations, the investigating committee affirms the charges and Sakado is removed from his position. His successor, Harashima, questions the verdict and pressures Yasumi to tell him what happened. "You're better off not knowing," responds the latter, but Harashima insists; when he learns the truth, all he can do is roll his eyes toward the ceiling and emit a deep sigh.

The story centers on the intense pressure employees are under to hit sales targets in a company where harsh work conditions compel them to make their sales by hook or by crook. It comes to light that even top salesman Sakado had succumbed, leaning on a subcontractor to produce substandard screws at low-cost.

When Tokyo Kenden learns that the screws used to build seats delivered for use in aircraft and trains do not meet durability standards, it moves to avoid an expensive recall by covering the problem up. Whistle-blowing within the company is quickly quashed. As the tale progresses, unfolding through meetings and events in the lives of various individuals involved in or affected by the company's doings, we learn that this is not the first such incident: there has in fact been a repeated pattern of similar cases since before Sakado's departure...

Meisa Kuroki Spotted Celebrating Birthday; Jin Akanishi At Home With Their Baby

As reported in Josei Seven, actress Meisa Kuroki was spotted at the theater lobby of the play "May Star Kabuki" which stars Ichikawa, Kankuro Nakamura, and Kataoka wearing a black leather jacket over white lace top. Afterwards, the cast and Kuroki ate out at a high-end Chinese restaurant in Tokyo to celebrate her birthday one day advance.

However, the actress was not seen with her husband Jin Akanishi and 9-month old daughter at the party. It was speculated that Akanishi might have been taking care of the baby while Kuroki's out. Opposite from what is reported before that Akanishi is finding it difficult to take care of the baby since he couldn't avoid hanging out with his friends, to the extent of having Kuroki's mother fly to Tokyo from Okinawa for child rearing. Now, the table's have turned and Jin has changed and became a hands-on dad which is well appreciated by Meisa.

Meisa apparently ordered take out dishes for her husband and daughter waiting at home and went out of the restaurant before midnight. With her current drama projects, NHK's "Yae No Sakura" and TBS' "TAKE FIVE" she is equally dividing her time with her career and family life. Jin and Meisa have been doing well in their relationship as both were seen in the middle of April at Roppongi Hills having a shopping date together.

Kamenashi Kazuya overwhelmed by international screening request of “Ore Ore”

On May 25th, KAT-TUN Kamenashi Kazuya (27) attended the stage greeting of the opening day of his film, "Ore Ore" in Shinjuku Piccadilly Theater, Tokyo. Kamenashi has devoted to challenge missions involving the number 33 until the release of this movie to pray for a blockbuster hit in cinemas. Such missions were, "scooping 33 goldfish" (Japanese game), "Turning off 33 candles at once", "Eating 33 sushis in 33 minutes", among others. He then made it clear that his last mission was to make this movie, a stunning success after its release, "When it's all over if I'm told by the staff 'it's a big hit', I'll be happy", he said with a smile.

During this event, Kamenashi challenged his 33rd mission which was "stopping the stopwatch at 33 seconds", he had to count himself cause he couldn't see the stopwatch. During his 3rd try, he made a superb success then jumped in joy while the venue wrapped him in big applauses. Kamenashi was pleased "My greed has a human being comes out" but he did not make it on his first try, "I'm not a genius. No matter what happens, I'm not the type of person who can achieve things on the first try".

It was also announced that this movie will be screened in Taiwan (this fall), Russia (this summer) and Singapore (details TBD). In April, "Ore Ore" was honored with the audience award "MY MOVIES AWARD" in Italy's "Udine Far East Film Festival". The movie will be distributed in Russia under the company "Maywyn FIlms", the written announcement said, "I received too many calls from avid fans so I guess I should try knowing about it. I was very surprised about the many comments relating Kamenashi's brilliant performance. This is the first time I experience something like this".

Kamenashi has immense popularity in Taiwan since he performed there in 2010. It was also informed that screening requests have been submitted by Indonesia, France, Malaysia, Spain, Bulgaria, Denmark, Ukraine, Brasil and others. Kamenashi rejoiced, "I'm really really happy! I'm glad this movie is growing in many countries. Let's aim for 33 countries! I'm sorry for making this such a loud event".

This event was also attended by Uchida Yuki, Kase Ryo and Director Miki Satoshi.
