since we're explaining some PV's... I am totally stumped as to Walking Proud's theme... I'm usually good at figuring out symbolism and stuff... but WHAT is it about ?___?

This one has me rather stumped too. It's a gorgeous video, and obviously the kid asking the scarecrow for candy, homeless cyborgs, shiny ayu in the anthill, ayu pulling the black shroud off herself, and symbols like that all mean something but i can NOT figure what. And i'm usually good at figuring this stuff out too.
