my BEST: Endless Sorrow (2001)

The concept is really good; people living in a world where they can't express themselves and be free.

my WORST: TO BE (1999)

I like the song and all, but TO BE's pv looks like Ayu was on an acid trip

starting with the worst... hm. Well I don't like Fly high at all. Ayu doesn't look nice and it's bland.

The best, is for sure HANABI ~episode II~...

Simplicity is beauty.

Best: Hard to decide!!!!! to me, all of her songs and vids are cool. Still, here it is:

- Alterna: If someone asks me what vid of Ayu should they see, I''l respond: Alterna. The song and the pv are the ones more "ayuish" to me, with the nice girl getting decieved, the clowns (loved the clowns), lack of freedom, and weird stuff that no one understands (XD). The song rocks, literally.

- Beautiful Fighters: Don't kill me because of this!! This one is hated by more people than B&D, but I loved all. The song, the car racing theme, the poor "beautiful fighters" messing up everything that they did.... it reminds me so much of Utada Hikaru's "keep tryin"

- poker face: For a debut video, this one was very well done. I think I could show it to my friends today, and they would think it's recent^^. The TV tree...I bet that was Ayu's idea. If not, that must have been a little glimpse of how her videos were staring to look like.

- Bold & Delicious: Ayu has a great attitude in this one. I liked the people's faces when staring at her, like wondering "who is this singer???". Another vid I would show to my non-Ayu friends. I know lots of people hate this song, but once you say you like it, B&D fans start to appear^^

- Endless sorrow: The video has a great message, I felt very sad with the city where people couldn't sing or speak, but I was moved with the kid climbing up, and searching for his other wing. Besides, she composed the song!.

- part of Me: Also one of the first one I saw, I had to watch it twice, because I didn't understand it!! ^^U When i finally did, it looked amazing to me. A really beautiful story and scenery.

I could go on and on, but I'd better shut up and I present the worst ones, IMO:

- Daybreak: As someone said above, the song deserved a much better video. Actually, the -original- song itself deserved a video!!!!

- Born to be... : People had said hundreds of times about this video: "wtf? I can't see Ayu!!!" I have it on HQ, and even like that, I'm blinded by that light wall!

- CAROLS: Another big WTF? Another great song wasted.

- kanariya: just like Daybreak, I wanted to see the original song having a video. It would have been amazing, another of the deep conceptual pvs of Ayu. This remixed one, not really.


Yup, that's all. There isn't a video that I really dislike.

^I would never show alterna to a person who doesnt know ayu. Then the person would think she's a psycho or something. The clowns...... and "Hey look, I have an eyeball in my mouth.. It's looking at you!" I get the story is good, but it's just too disturbing.

I must have some strange friends then, because it's always the alterna video that seems to hook new people to Ayu.

Really born to be is her only video that I can't stand.

BEST PV:
alterna: When I first saw it, it gave me a "wt-f" impression, xD I couldn't stop playing it after a few runs. I read that alterna reflects how the avex staff mistreat her (or something?) and I liked it even more.
GAME: The energy, the vibe, THE SONG, it's all great. I like the scenes (with videos) on the side, it reminded me of Vanilla Sky <3
JEWEL: I ADORE THIS PV THE MOMENT I LAID EYES ON IT, OH MY GACKT!

WORST PV:
Bold & Delicious: I can't believe that they put this song on blast in NYC. No offense, but overall I can't stand this song as much as the PV.
Pride: ... she's just walking... and... I just can't watch the whole thing for like a good 1 minute.
Moments: IT'S PRETTY, but I don't like the ending of the PV. So that ruined it for me.

was probably Forgiveness...very pretty and imaginitive but I also really like the Part of me PV too.
The worst...erm I would say Carols >.<
It was so boring!

Uh yeah, those are two other really bad ones. Waaay too bright in Born to be... and she looked like an emo hobo in Daybreak xDDD
Not to mention that the single version of Daybreak was as equally as bad as the PV >.<;;;

there are a lot of good PVs. but one of the PVs that absolutely dislike is Born To Be... sadly.
