Coldplay: Anyone thinking of buying their new album?

I'm really excited about it! It's been what, three years since their last album? I like both 'Viva la Vida' and 'Violet Hill'. If you guys haven't heard the singles yet here they are:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5s...ial-musi_music

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5f...clip-new_music

And just because I'm lazy ...go here if you want more info:

Oh and one other thing...this has already been released in Europe, but it's not coming out until the 18th for us Americans lol.

Of course! I absolutely LOVE this album. I knew this album was going to be my absolute favorite because they did a lot of experimenting with it. Love these guys. <3 The booklet artwork is gorgeous too, haha.

EDIT: Forgot to say that I downloaded it when it leaked. XD

I've got it pre-ordered. X&Y was boring to me like woah, but this sounds far more interesting.

Didn't like X&Y at all, but this sounds a bit better. Still not as good as Parachutes. Now THAT was a good CD! I have the album downloaded already, so probably won't buy, but I still like it.

To everyone who's posted here so far, I also agree that 'X&Y' was not such a good album. I did like the hits a lot though, and there might've been a few songs I liked on the album, but yeah I do agree that it was pretty weak. But the two singles sound soooo promising and I've been hearing a lot of good things about it, so I'm really excited! I was gonna go and get it when it came out (which will be tomorrow for us Americans lol) but yeah it's a long story -___-;;;...

I've never been a huge Coldplay fan, but I loved "Viva la Vida" (song) and downloaded the album just to try it out...I was TOTALLY blown away. I loved pretty much every track!

Is all their other stuff this good?

I was so disappointed with this album... I was hoping it would sound similar to Viva la Vida (the track) but it didn't. It just makes me wanna go to sleep, and not in a good way like Olivia Lufkin. :p

^Ok so there's one negative comment, but it's only the first. So I'm still gonna buy it lol.And @ ddd, I haven't heard that album, but I've heard a lot of good things about it. I'm gonna listen to it ! I've only heard the two latest albums, which were not bad.

I Will ! I love Coldplay I'm a big fan of this band. We go way back -

I like X&Y a lot, but a lot of people didn't ! Fix you was a great song !

From their new album my favorites so far are Viva La Vida & Lost!

Coldplay died for my after A Rush of Blood to the Head

X&Y was such a step down from Parachutes and ARBH that I'm scared to listen to Viva la Vida

i downloaded the album last week.

None of the songs compares to Viva la Vida like I'd hoped. So...probably not...

i was thinking of going to the tour though they're playing here in July so...maybe.

^ Oooh I had no idea they were gonna tour! And you also come from CA, so that's good news for me. I'll have to keep my eye out for them to see if they come around my area.

lol, doesn't surprise me that people like Viva la Vida the most out of the songs. It's the most "Coldplay"-y

but man, I -love- this album. Like, SERIOUSLY.

yeah, at the end of July i know that they'll at least be playing in Los Angeles, Oakland, and San Jose.

They'll probably have a San Francisco show, I don't remember the rest.

I was thinking of going to the San Jose one since it's closest to me, and i know the center of performance really well.
