I think Ayumi sounds right, to be honest. Utada is only based on Flavor of Life and Beautiful World if anything. And since those are singles, it really doesn't add up.

Plus, I don't think Koda sold well this past year. Last year, sure she killed, but not this past year. May be next year with KINGDOM (which sounds very promising).

But I still don't think it was Ayu
Her sales were pretty low this year...especially 'Talkin' 2 Myself'...that sold ever lower than her 'LOVE -since 1999-' which had the lowest sales yet (of Ayu's that is).

Well, as I said, A BEST 2 was pretty phenominal (despite the fact it was seperated, but then again, she had TONS of songs), and sold more then Mr. Children's HOME when combined.

And the lowest sales would be WHATEVER in a while, may be even Bold & Delicious/Pride even.

Well it's not like Mr. Children only released HOME this year....they released 2x 300k+ singles as well....

Mr. Children had the highest in terms of number of copies sold this year. As for sales in terms of yen, I think it's going to be close between Kuu and Ayu.

Well A BEST 2 sell quite alot this time. Since this is a best of album, i'm sure it is quite cheap to produce since avex is just 'recycling' the old material. The tracks may be remastered but it would be much cheaper than to produce a would new album. In addition, it is quite expensive! (i believe the concert's cost would be covered up the high cost of the ticket )
