It wasn't about you,it was about one of Coelacanth's tranlations of the oppinions of japanese people.

...I bet most of the people who are complaining about the 4 interludes will LOVE them. It's not like she hasn't had a number of them before! GUILTY had three (unless you count Mirror, then that's four), and most of her albums have had 2-3 of them, anyway.

In case you all haven't noticed, she spents weeks in LA trying to get this album actually made and finished. She wrote some (if not a lot) of the lyrics out there, and spent most days (and nights) trying to gets songs started and finished.

I'm excited about the album regardless. Every full song I've heard so far is great so I can't wait to hear the rest of the songs (and the interludes). ^^

Let's not make any conclusion before hearing the songs. Ayu mentioned that the album will be awesome. I don't think we'll be that disappointed in terms of quality of the songs

I'm actually looking forward to her interludes... I mean yeah I'm kind of meh about 4 of them, but her interludes have never disappointed me (except taskinlude)... so I'm still excited!

Four interludes? Ayu is total fail, no wonder she has almost no fans left. I've cancelled my pre-order because I'm not paying the price of a full length album for a not so full length album.

LOL!
Uhm sorry but I really had to laugh at some posts, kinda dumb to cancel an order because the album will inlcude 4 interludes^^"
ALL OF YOU know that Ayu's interludes are brilliant~
Brevity is the soul of wit.

Ayu never dissapointed us with her interludes...so I'll wait and after listening I'll return a verdict =D

uhm yeah of course...almost no fans left, lmao I think that's one of the reasons that she still can fill the arenas with her concerts, and her goods sell like hotcakes just to name but a few~

People should stop complaining about the interludes before they have listened to them O.o imho

just my 2 cents...

*sorry if this offends your opinion~

So... I guess that means you prefer interludes over full songs?

Because if you aren't upset about more interludes = less full songs, then...

It's not that Ayu's interludes aren't good or anything, but seriously... FOUR interludes? That's almost 1/3 of the ENTIRE album is interludes. Some of those could have been awesome full songs instead. But I guess she just prefers watering down her albums with interludes...

I just don't understand. If other artists can make an album without a million interludes, why can't she?

Well it's 3 and a half interludes since the opening song is half a song =P lol.
I think we should calm down and wait to hear the album, if the new songs are great then who cares.
It's still 6 and a half new songs along with great single songs and if the interludes and songs won't be bad then there is really no reason to complain.

Duty had 1 interlude and 7 new songs (AUDIENCE included) with 4 single songs.
And it's one of ayu's greatest albums.
I am... had 2 interludes and 7 new songs (Daybreak included) with 7 single songs and it's also one of ayu's greatest albums.

I think that the japanese fans don't complain about them if ayu keeps doing them.
(and well me too if they are good and it's not over the top). I'm glad that at least Bridge to the sky is half a song.

I think the difference is though, is that the singles for those albums were all amazing and in a class of their own. They are classics. Do you really think that can be said for any of the singles on this album or on Duty for that matter?

I think that Days could be refered as a kind of "classic" song, it did appeal to a lot of listeners (most likely because it's a ballad).
Just because ayu is not as popular as she used to be I don't think it means she doesn't release anymore classics.
Even if she would release a better classic at this time more than her earlier classics I doubt it would do too well just because she is not popular as she used to be on that time. That makes her songs get less "stage" and not be recognised much.
Some japanese people I talked to (that are not ayu fans) knew only her song BLUE BIRD and liked it a lot. =P
Maybe the classics standarts for her should change now.

I'm glad to hear that Curtain call will have ayu's vibratos <3 They are my favorite thing in her singing!
I do wonder what they meant by saying "regretable" lol.

Well... now we are talking about your opinion... I personally dislike Ayu early albums and could live without most of the singles from that time...

They are classics among the public, but this don't really reflect quality... Ayu was at the peak of her fame that time, so it's obvious people will remember this singles more than the new ones were she is already an old face

All I know, is that the first time I heard evolution or Surreal or Audience etc. etc. I immediately knew they were something special and amazing. Whereas none of her recent singles quite reach that standard. And her songs being great was a big part of the reason why she was at the top of her popularity then.

I'm sure we will be hearing Seasons for years and years to come, but will we still be hearing Days? And I'm saying this even though I actually LIKE Days.

All right, I'll get into the translating comments about the new songs too.

"I can't decide whether I like or dislike this album. I like the singles, but I may not like the rest until I have listened to them a lot."

"I worry to buy an album like this. I'm going to wait to download full versions, then I'll decide."

Ohhh, I see the Morning Musume comments too. I'm actually a Momosu fan, but I don't know how I feel about that for Ayu.

I also see a number of comments regarding the lyrics and that some of them seem to not have enough thought put into them (similar to the criticism of Sparkle).

Also it appears that there is a lot of English on the album......

People seem to like Curtain Call though and are saying its emotional. Someone even says that it is a "Gospel Ballad." Are we getting B&D ballad version? lol.

I haven't read enough comments yet to really say, but overall the reaction is mixed at best.

btw, I'm not using 2ch like Coelcanth - so that's two sources with Morning Musume mentions....maybe there really is something Musumish on here.

Yeah, I've actually seen the phrase Morning Musume way too much, especially for the song EnergizE. Though someone disagreed and said it sounded more like Arashi. lol.
