I've been watching Johnnys Countdown since the 2006-2007 one (still my favourite). But maybe you're reading to much into it? Personally I thought everyone in this Countdown looked pretty sombre and not their usual selfs. It wasn't a very happy Countdown in my opinion (which goes for the groups at Tokyo Dome) and probably the worst I've seen so far. Shame, cause I look really forward to the Countdown every year.

And maybe he just has a stomach ache or something? I don't really think it hurts him to see Ayu getting married, they are long over and it doesn't seem like him to live in the past. And even if he did hurt for any reason, I think he's a pro and won't bring his private issues into work.

i guess i could be reading too much into it, but eh...it's just how i interpreted it. it's not a big deal for me, just expressing an opinion.

i don't like how everyone's sort of split up now for JE CDL now. it was really fun when everyone was at one spot, not all around. Eito was at Kyosera Dome in Osaka, Tackey (& Tsubasa) at that theater, Arashi at Kouhaku, etc. it hasn't been the same since, tbh.

sorry to be random right now, but i'm in a bit of a tackey & tsubasa mood (Venus is in my head! the PV is though lol) so i stumbled upon this video from when they hosted 24 hour TV back in 2007, and they both got slapped by this pro-wrestler! it was hilarious!

afterwards, they showed how tackey & tsubasa was created, and they said that they hated each other for awhile until they debuted. i never would have known because they look so cute together! it made me sad that they hardly spoke from like 13-18 years old. just wanted to share my thoughts on this!

btw, ho!SUMMER's PV is too cute! it looks like they shot it in macau (i think that's what it's called...) because some parts of the area kinda remind me of matsushita yuya's 4 seasons PV.

yes T&T weren't really the best of friends before they debuted together as a duo

I don't know why but they hated each other guts or something ? :p they said that before on variety shows they were on but at least things changed for the better when they grew older

uh I don't know where the Ho ! summer PV was shot at but if it's true that was flimed in Macau ... EH I never venture that part of Macau when I was there 2 Dec's ago D:

TOKIO announces nationwide tour & new digital single

TOKIO has announced that they will be holding a nationwide tour called “TOKIO LIVE TOUR 2011 +PLUS+“, which will kick off on March 6th in Sendai.

The band will make their rounds through 14 cities (16 stages), including the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. Additionally, TOKIO will release a new digital single titled “PLUS“, which was created particularly for their upcoming tour.

“PLUS” was written and composed by leader Jojima Shigeru, and was a collectively arranged by all the TOKIO members. The new single will start distributing in advance through dwango.jp on February 8th.

Tackey & Tsubasa to release a mini album

Tackey & Tsubasa will be releasing a mini album on March 16th!

The mini album will be a collaboration between Tackey & Tsubasa and famous songwriters, and the concept of the mini album is “TRIP & TREASURE (T&T)”. Although the title for the mini album has not been decided yet, its track list has already been revealed.

KinKi Kids’ Domoto Koichi to release DVD from solo concert tour

It’s been a while since KinKi Kids‘ Domoto Koichi held his solo tour, “KOICHI DOMOTO CONCERT TOUR 2010 BPM“. For those fans who were upset at missing such a grand event, Domoto has a special surprise lined up!

The artist plans to release a DVD of his October 11th live from the Yokohama Arena. Available on March 9th, the DVD will be released as two different versions: ‘limited edition’ and ‘regular edition.’

i'm not sure if it was macau, but i remember you saying where the 4 seasons PV was shot once! for some reason, i thought it was macau, lol. i must be mixing it up with another place. wherever it was, ho!SUMMER's kinda reminded me of it.

but the announcers portrayed tackey & tsubasa's history, and they said that by spending too much time together, or something along the lines of that, they hated each other. it still makes me sad. thankfully their okay now! and i hope they'll have a new single in a few months.

MY's 4 Seasons PV was shot in Guam , which's a very beautiful beach area in Japan & it's the same place where ayumi's BLUE BIRD PV was shot

so it wouldn't surprise me if Ho ! Summer's PV was shot there too cos you wouldn't associate Macau with beaches but if it's casinos then yes 8D

but anyway I think it's normal for something like that to happen (cos you know teenage angst & etc :p) ?

I remember before Kame & Yamapi came together to flim Nobuta wo Produce , they had some issues with each other so somewhat or another after fliming that drama , they had a tuce

SMAP pulls in the highest rating during “Kohaku Uta Gassen”



The individual artist ratings for the “61st Kohaku Uta Gassen“ was revealed on January 4th, and it was discovered that SMAP were the performers who pulled in the highest ratings among all artists during Kohaku.

SMAP attended this year’s Kohaku as the ootori (the last performer of the whole show), and while they were performing at 11:33 PM, the rating reached an impressive 48.9%. This is the sixth time that SMAP has managed to pull the highest rating (by singer) during Kohaku, and they demonstrated the power of SMAP to the nation once again.

SMAP commented, “We are glad to hear that many people watched our performance. We hope that the year of 2011 will be bright year. Please continue to support us this year as well.”

Second to SMAP was the group DREAMS COME TRUE, who also pulled high rating of 47.2%. Following them were Kuwata Keisuke (45.4%), Fukuyama Masaharu (43.4%), and AKB48, who was the only artist who pulled 40% during the first half.

The highest rated moment during the show was the ending segment when the summary video of the show was airing, and it clocked in at 49.7%.

Tackey to play ten historical heroes in upcoming stage show

Hideaki Takizawa is about to become a walking and talking history textbook as he plays famours warriors, leaders, and rebels in his upcoming stage show, it was revealed at a press conference in Tokyo on February 3, reports Sports Hochi, and Chunichi Sports.

It had been announced Takizawa would produce his upcoming stage show “滝沢歌舞伎 (Takizawa Kabuki)”, and play a series of historical Japanese figures including Minamoto no Yoshitsune, Nobunaga Oda, and Shiro Amakusa.

“I want younger people to get interested in history. I learnt the value of Japanese legends after working on a Taiga drama myself,” Takizawa said.

The show has been split into two parts with the first focussing on the 10 historical figures, followed by a second part where Takizawa reprises his show from last year, playing Taira no Masakado.

It has been reported the pop star will fill his show with large-scale special effects such as wire action, and is even planning on slipping in a historical woman character as one of the 10 heroes.

On top of his busy acting challenge, it will be the second time Takizawa has produced this show following his producer debut in 2010.

“(At last year’s show) I struggled because I hardly had any time for my own rehearsals. But it felt like a part of me was always on stage, even if I wasn’t in the scene. It also gave me the chance to see things from an audience’s point-of-view which helped me when I was trying to think of things that would make the fans happier,” he said.

It has also been reported the second part to the show will be different from last year.

“I got a lot of requests from fans saying they wanted to see a more evil me so I’m going to try and be as evil and scary as I can,” Takizawa said.

Of course, bloody scenes will not continue throughout the entire season becayse the star had revealed plans for the show’s second part to be replaced with a children’s show during the May public holiday season. It has been reported Takizawa had said he wanted to reprise his children’s hero role, TAKI-ranger, at this year’s show as well.

“Takizawa Kabuki” will be performed at Tokyo’s Nissay Theatre from April 8 to May 8.
