I like her interludes, they do a good job of breaking up the album. I'd prefer to have them there than just 11 tracks with nothing in-between. And if the last album is anything to go by, her 'ludes are getting better and better. Especially the CMJK ones. disco-muncation for best song on NEXT LEVEL anyone?!

Agreed.

If people love her diversity in music, well, they better love the interludes too, they're the ones making a nice smooth transition most of the time, unlike pieces of SEVEN.

I say Load of the SHUGYO is the best though

I guess I just get sad that these interludes could have made fierce full-length songs. Like, sure Ayu, have 4 instrumental/interlude tracks, but have 14 full-length tracks as well. I'd certainly welcome an 18-track album. xD

Albums are getting shorter and shorter over time, doesn't surprise me hers are decreasing to 11-12 full tracks. Still, the albums are over 50 minutes long, which is above average. Usually pop albums are short, between 40-50 minutes long, sometimes shorter.

Actually, overall pop albums are getting longer on albums. Back in the day, 13 full tracks was generally considered by critics to be "Far too long", while now Britney Spears is releasing 19-track LPs and Kelly Clarkson is going for 17 tracks. It's just that Ayu's albums were long in a time when short was the standard, and now she's releasing short albums when long is the standard.

The difference? Ayu writes her music. Those artists don't, or only contribute to a few tracks. Its pretty easy for a singer who doesn't write or compose their music to pick tracks and record them in the studio. These artists would get thousands of bidding songwriters fowarding their tracks to get them on a famous singers album. Plus Ayu releases albums a lot faster than American pop artists

There's no way long albums are the norm these days. In the 90s, albums were much longer.

Bridge to the sky's lyrics were not printed in the booklet. The lyrics were basically from NEXT LEVEL anyway. [Fui ni namida, fui ni egao, etc...]

Ayu's longest album [I think] is MY STORY clocking in at around 76 minutes?

I gotta say I love her interludes too. They make the album flow and make it an experience. He albums would be way too choppy and more mediocre without them!

With Ayu's interludes, I like to think of them as snacks between meals, haha.

Delicious aural snacks between aural meals....

Track list looks promising, except for THE introduction, which sounds about as impersonal as Rock n Roll circus. LadyDynamite seems the coolest name of all so I hope the song measures up (I'm hoping for a sexy Decision episode II)
Anyhow, since she said that the countdown live was a segue to the album, I guess there wont be much electro since the show was pretty much rockier songs and ballads. I'm sure it'll be great anyhow, interludes are great too but just LESS of them.

What, you didn't like rollin', kill yourself! Haha. (Glee reference for anyone who doesn't get it...)

I'd say that all the interludes she's had so far with the exception of some of her HAL produced ones have been on par with the full tracks on every album...

The monotone parts in the verses really annoy me. The problem I have with most of NEXT LEVEL's tracks is that all the songs to me seem to be lacking something.

OMG how can I be here at 12midnight last night and totally miss this post till this morning???

LOVE LOVE LOVE THE TRACKLIST!

interludes...I think
THE intro, count down, and montage...I think..montage falls right in with Kaleidoscope, LABYRINTH and reBiRTH...it has that...really rich imagery thing to the word..

3 interludes is really good...Jump! better be a concert staple now LOL..
including RED LINE (al. ver) and that new song in chaku uta..for me, this album has officially 8 tracks.. hahah..it just made me so muc happier

GO ROCK'N'ROLL CIRCUS!

The new song probably has nothing to do with the album, which is why it was left off.
hopefully!!!!

SOOOO SOON!!

iwas expecting this next week, and I'm SOOO happy there are 15 tracks, and am delighted to see RED LINE having a new arrangement for the album !!

hopefully with the intro (lawl) there will only be 4 interludes, and it sort of looks like it.

01.THE introduction
02.Microphone
03.count down
04.Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~
05.BALLAD
06.Last Links
07.montage
08.Don't look back
09.Jump!
10.Lady Dynamite
11.Sexy little things
12.Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~
13.meaning of Love
14.You were...
15.RED LINE ~for TA~ [album version]

i pray montage isn't an interlude '-___- otherwise 5 will be a horrible new record for her.

Well, as long as it's those 4 to be interludes, we get... 6 new songs, one new arrangement, and 1 new other song? the one released seperately.

Well... only one more than usual '-___- BUT WHATEVER! I'M PUMPED FOR THIS LET'S GO GO GO!!

secretly hoping for a secret track yeeyeye

Well some of us are thinking that she'll have only 3 interludes since of the whole 12 lyrics sheet promo that she is doing

well, she could still have lyrics for "THE intro." right, so that + 3 others would make 4
