I would cry if I saw November live...
This song I have heard some say they do not like her vocals. Or that it doesn't take off. Might be boring. But, I truly adore this song and is one of my favorite's ever for the sheer fact at how beautiful it is. The violins and string work that carry the song along are out of this world! If you listen to the song and zone in on those strings, you really feel apart of the emotion. But the song REALLY takes off when Ayu belts out the chorus was final time at the end. Compared to her singing style throughout the rest of the song, singing audibly but just not belting it out, well it all comes to bloom during this finale. I really feel like she's a little bird just singing out at the top of her lungs:
"If I had one more wing And could fly freely in the sky like a bird I'd like to give the both wings to you So that you can fly to anywhere you want..." "Moshimo watashi ni mou hitotsu no tsubasa ga haete Tori no you ni jiyuu ni sora wo habataketa toshita nara Sono tsubasa o dochira mo anata ni sasage tai Anata ga suki na tokoro e tonde yukeru you ni..." As Ayu sings each line, the power of her voice grows progressively stronger until the end of that line. The entire climax of the song is the section I made bigger. At that part, her voice is her loudest, strongest, and most powerful, as she sings her little heart one last time. The way she trails off the last line, returning to a more peaceful way of singing, it's as if the emotion is something like "So I've laid it all on the line, shouted my emotions from the rooftop in hopes that you would hear this little bird. I have laid it out on the line and I will continue feeling this way" I would love to hear her new power vocals for this song live! I loved the vocals from R'n'R for Memorial address and count down (and that was before the vocal training). Can you imagine what a beautiful performance this would be!? |
