my friend told me the older tracks, especially audience and monochrome sound a lot better, but the newer ones were not much different.

Woah, Audience sounds noticeably different. I'm not a fan, it sounds kind of flat and empty. Monochrome just sounds a bit clearer, but it hasn't lost that muffled feel that makes it so good.

I can't hear any difference on the other songs. :/

^ The beginning of AUDIENCE is SO different...
They DID pull an "A BEST". Yuck. I hate it.

EDIT: the intro of Greatful Days is different. It's louder than the original. There have been a few effects added (REALLY small)

Audience sounds very similar to the Dave ford mix on the single to me. It's not entirely the same, but I find it similar.

The beginning of Boys & Girls is also different than the album version. You can hear her taking a breath before the talala's. It's similar to the Aube mix from the single.

All of you are right; Greatful days is the version on A BEST 2; AUDIENCE is the Dave Ford Mix; monochrome is the Original Version (from the single). This was done for A COMPLETE as well.

As for Boys & Girls, there is no "album" version; the AUBE mix was the one used on LOVEappears. The only time it wasn't was for A BEST with the new vocal and mix. Considering they're using the single tracks like they did with A COMPLETE, I'm almost POSITIVE the version on ASB is the AUBE mix. But the best person to ask about this would be - you guessed it - Deli! And so I shall. She or I will report back with the official findings ^_^v
