14th album 'LOVE again' out February 8th, 4th of five 15th anniversary releases [II]

I'm sorry, I can't stop laughing. This is what happens when you inadvertently stop following Ayu half a year. Those are some lovely covers though, and untitled 2 piques my interest.

I haven't heard all of LOVE or again so this'll actually feel like a new album.

I posted this on tumblr but I think I'm going to post it here for all of you to see. Maybe you heard of a little album called Loveappears, that sold 2.5 million copies and is the 39th best selling album of all time in Japan. It's also 70% previously released music (in the form of singles).

You know, it changes the farther away you are from a debut album...and your peak.

But it's not really that big a deal, considering it's been done before without issue.

besides that, they were sold as singles, not stand alone minis

I just think that's kind of a bad example to use that particular album. Also because, if you look at the singles, the material is presented a bit differently on the album. Different times, etc.

But sure, we're used to only getting 5 or so new songs.


I think it's just the principle that, we thought the material was stand alone, and maybe also that people thought we would have all new tracks...and maybe that stupid title lol

I'm just happy we're receiving anything at all.

Ayu has bestowed us with 28 new tracks this year.
Considering that Party Queen was released in March, and this will be released in February...

Party Queen - 14 tracks
A SUMMER BEST - 1 track
LOVE - 3 tracks
again - 4 tracks
LOVE again - 7 new tracks

= 28 new songs.
If we include remixes (off LOVE/again and MY STORY CLASSICAL):

A CLASSICAL - 10 tracks
Mini-album remixes - 9 tracks
+ 28 original mixes
= 47 tracks from February 8th 2012 ('how beautiful you are' digital single)- February 8th 2013 (LOVE again album).

Also, the next release has not yet been announced. If it's new music/another remix, then this number will grow...

That is absolutely amazing. Ayu fans are so spoiled. xD

I think it's different with the standalone singles, rather than two EPs. People have bought these EPs, thinking the album would consist of all new material, because honestly, who does release two EPs and then shortly after, an album with all the old songs on it? Plus You&Me, that has been on three releases already. It's just unheard of.
