I imagine at the end when the music all shuts down that is when all the riches and the lavishness is all revealed to be a facade/fraud/delusion/trick/hoax and it is just Utada and her lover left in desolate depression and despair where they were all along but hadn't realized it via outside sources or them alone because their love was so strong.

I listened to the song as well when I read your post, and I realized it again that the song is very powerful and emotional. It got me teary.

Yes, although imo I kinda like the PV but they can do a better job 'Everybody finds love in the end' it's simple and common but it is still very beautiful especially in this song

I never like final distance cuz I thought she made a happy pop song into an arm-cutter. Then I read the reason why, watched the video and got so sad. Now I love it.

This is a bit embarassing to admit, but I actually heard Final Distance before Distance despite I've been into Hikki since her debut album so it had me a bit confused as to why the 2 songs sounded similar til I looked it up.

The first Hikki album I bought was Deep River and listening to FINAL DISTANCE I though the song is very beautiful despite I don't even understand what she says

It's not until 1-2 years later I could get my hand on Distance and notice the songs similarities, I thought she was just re-arranged it. Then I got internet and learns the sad thing behind FINAL DISTANCE

It's mflow remix, and it's definitely better than the original!

I do like that live she did of Distance on a tv program though. It was back when she had that short hair, but she was dancing pretty well and getting so into it.

I love m-flo's earlier stuff and while FINAL DISTANCE is amazing and completely in a class of its own, this mix gives the original rendition the little kick in the butt it sorely needed. It's one of my staple songs on any running playlist I make.
