What the hell! For one I'm a she. For second I was NOT judging Ayu or her husband. I do find it emasculating. If someone else finds it cute that's fine. Just for your knowledge: the reason why women were adopting the last name of their husband was (and somehow still is) that women were the property of their fathers but with marriage they became the property of their husbands. People just think it's emasculating because by adopting their wifes last name men show that they give a fuck about traditional maculinity and gender roles and that they don't need to be the head of their household.

Sexism NEVER is a harmless subject.
But if other women I just know from a forum, and therefore just by a few posts they wrote, like conservative norms for themselves which I consider sexist I would never tell them to change their lifes or to feel different about this subject. If my love's last name was better than mine. I'd take their name. There was this guy I really liked years ago who I worked with whose last name is "hamberger". I was thinking to myself. "Damn if I was in his shoes I'd change my last name during marriage cause I'd hate to be "Mr. Hamberger". haha" So yeah. For me it depends.
