Well, I don't know what those fans tweeted to her. If they were disrespectful she has every right to block those people. I was referring to her post afterwards, where she criticized people for jumping to conclusions.
She uses twitter as some kind of personal diary. If she wants to she can do that. A lot of times she seems to share her personal mood with people through some cryptic posts. And if she does that she has to expect that people speculate about the reason why she felt in the mood for tweeting cryptic stuff. What else are fans supposed to do? Ignore her tweets and don't react at all?

I actually get the sense her Japanese fans don't understand her as the complex individual that she is and still expect her to follow certain conventions, even though she's far removed from the society at large. She has a peculiar way of expressing herself and it's like her Japanese fans are unable to accept certain things about her persona, her "otherness."
It's weird because her 'otherness' is what I consider to have made her a hit in the first place (in the way she expressed that with her honest lyrics)

Divorce drama, huh? I'm facepalming so hard here now. Just because she writes something like "I hate you" or "bye bye my love" doesn't mean there's a divorce coming up. This fandom never fails to amuse me with these weird theories of theirs, lol. There was a time in June where I saw one fan talking how Sayonara's lyrics are a obvious hint to a upcoming divorce. I told that person it's not true but I had to say it about 6 times before this person believed me. I honestly don't think she's going to divorce him anytime soon. :'D

I think her fans just aren't used to getting this unfiltered Ayu via social media in general.

When I saw the cryptic tweet, I figured it was going to end up in drama like this. She probably should have followed up a bit faster with her 'ending' though, since people are VERY quick to jump to conclusions if a bit of time goes by before another update, so it is partially on Ayu too. Wonder if she's just gonna stop posting somewhat personal things on Twitter for a while due to situations like this.

People have been wondering where he was for a while, so they were likely just looking for a reason to say something related to him. Even here we have had people circulating divorce rumors even though there wasn't really any reason to suspect that.

I think she is more connected with herself than before. Like she said in an interview last time. First she thought she kept evolving and was focussing on personal growth, but now she noticed after all those years that it's just the same her. That makes her be herself more than ever.

Really, I hate when a fan think "I'm her fan, I buy her music, I have all the rights to say bad things to her"

It's not normally that if she doesn't tweet about her husband SHE IS DIVORCING, and if she tweets SHE IS DIVORCING. Take care of your life please or maybe you need one.
Well I read some of those tweets and the one I read were really rude. The words they use... And when they got blocked hell broke loose...

This!!! One of the best posts ever!!! It's not only to do with the Japanese fans. It's to do with the group culture. People don't respect you not see you as an individual. You have to be part of the group. And if you are not, you get bullied.

You have got some valid points in there, but speculating the worst is a step going too far.
She could say anything, but that does not mean she bases it on true life stories. There is an huge difference between assumig she may refer to new lyrics or is acting a bit immature, than claim she is referring towards a divorce in all seriousness.

Ayu is poetic and loves to remain mysterious. Vague descriptions are her thing. Or does everybody except me understand her lyrics always so clearly?

Come on people who guessed the worst.

Personally I can't stand her cryptic posts, I find them immature as fuck and I'm damm fucking annyoed by them and a lot of times I feel ashamed for her. Sorry, but that's how I feel about everyone who makes such posts.
I did not assume anything after her posts because I get the feeling she just wants some attention from people who are close to her when she writes something like "I hate you..." so that those people will text her "oh what's wrong honey? Are you ok?". But in the past she did make some cryptic posts to announce breakups afterwards. So it's no wonder that people think after "I hate you" and "byebye my love" she could have broken up. They assume it because it's exactly how she behaved in the past.
And in all honesty: I admire her as an artists, but I don't want or need to know what's going on in her head every minute. She is not my best friend she's the artist I admire since 11 years and I don't want that to be destroyed by her non existend social media skills. There is a difference between being poetic and personal in lyrics or writing cryptic stuff on twitter without any context that in the end comes across as a post a teen would make to get some attention.
I mean, other artists post stuff like backstage videos, photos together with friends or their pets and that's it and never something too personal. It seems for me that Ayu never learned how to interact with social media in the way a big popstar should use it to communicate with fans. She's posting stuff since years now that led from drama to drama. Sometimes she posts stuff that you also shouldn't post when you're a nobody because your 500 facebook friends would see it and it would be emberassing.
Sorry, but like I said, I admire her as an artist and I would like it to stay this way. I don't want to roll my eyes over posts like "I hate you" every week and be annoyed by her as a person. It's her personal life and I NEVER was interested in it. She could divorce 20 times and I wouldn't care. But I just don't want that too personal stuff shoved into my face. I'm interested in the artist Hamasaki Ayumi and not in her private life that belongs to her since we're not friends.

I pretty much agree with you. I forgive her all her mistakes and messes because of her amazing music. Although it's still hard to get over her lies about not being able to live in United states with Manny when the next thing she does is living there with Tyson. And when she used Manny's photo in Return road PV.... The list goes on of course, but her music is above all of that.

^But she can never say that she wasn't true to herself. She always follows her heart...I guess her heart just was not with Manny.

@Chris85, excuse me? Lies? What lies? That is a bold accusation you made there.

Well, I guess we have different point of views on this. To me she never lied to us about living in the US with Mannie. I really trust her in saying that it was not the right time. She was not happy, she felt like she was leaving her home country in the cold. Like Pieces_Of_SEVEN said, she was following her heart. Ayu is in a different place with Tyson. So, I assume this time is finally 'right' for her.

@Chibi-Chan, yeah well... turns out she will always be little Miss understood. It shows that people never stop caring about her, so maybe she needed the attention. But even so, implying the worst can be really annoying, so I totally feel her when she said that people jumped into conclusions too quickly. Of course, I agree with you that she kinda did this to herself with those cryptic messages, but still.

I really believe that Ayu fears her fans don't trust her love life by looking at her past relationships / or that she knows that most of them don't agree with it for whatever reason. I cannot speak for her, but it just comes over like that. She acted so damn defensive. What I mean to say is that it is not only those cryptic messages that made people think like that. This was the last straw.

I will just add that people should criticize themselves before criticizing others (including ayu), a thing people definitely don't do or see.

I get that the cryptic and "scandelous" stuff she does might come off as annoying, but she doesn't do these things with the purpose of doing something wrong, it just comes off that way since it's the easiest. It's just easy to plainly judge and criticize her. I don't think it's right though.

Walk was just about it and I totally can relate to it.

^Anything to get clicks. At most, I bet they had a spat and then made up. It's what couples do.

I do agree that she should just post some fun pictures like attending event or just random shits. But not those drawing attention kind. People as famous as Beyonce can just post a freaking picture of a beach without any caption and still get attention. So ya it's annoying sometimes.

It's like posting a random sentence like "This could be us but you fucked up"
