With Ayu, familiarity is usually what you'll get, I feel. The surprises are typically reserved for albums.

Actually, I feel that Ayu has previously been an artist that has consistently surprised with singles (i.e. Bold & Delicious). Though I agree in recent years, she has definitely released expected singles. Regardless, I'm always happy to see her release something (even if it is too familiar)!

The song is similar to songs from the albums: Made in Japan, A one and sixxxxxx. Nothing new and fresh.

I think it's hard to find a place for some Ayu tracks due to their 'sameness' at times but they usually do end up where they belong. The lyrics for this are probably the selling point. She brings up the ibasho again.

the song is so typical recent ayu. tbh I can't differ all these new songs from sixxxxxx and etc.

lyrics may be good but change the beat and tempo, ayu. it just feels like a bubble gum what lost taste after being chewed for way too long.

It's a nice song, but I do agree it's pretty typical. However it's not a normal single, it's just a song distributed for free at her concerts, so I don't even mind. And I do love her ballads, so I'm quite happy

Well, her vocals sound pretty good.

It might seem like a "boring" release but to me it's a nicer song to hear than "We are the queens".

It's nothing revolutionary, but I like it a lot more than We are the Queens. Sure it sounds like something that would fit MADE IN JAPAN. I like the rock outlines <3

She sounds so good, and it's so... comforting? Very Ayu-ish, and therefore has that sense of nostalgia that permeates all her songs. I'm just so happy to have a new Ayu song, really. I feel like this is what Love Again could have been with a bit more attention given to making the songs feel richer.
