Yeah I think Powerful wasn't meant to be 1 of those songs sung in acoustic mode but yui did it pretty well . She probably should have gone for another Spotlight album track , maybe Tokei ?

yui's vocals were on point and her solo songs are still great . I'm surprised out of so many still great YUI songs in her solo discography , CHE.R.RY is probably her most popular , 2nd to perhaps Goodbye days and maybe LIFE

As for yui's duet with Yaida Hitomi's Look Back Again she did with her onstage , lol either yui is not familiar with the song or like what you said , both ladies didn't had enough time to rehearse the duet together

It beats screwing up the lyrics so with them holding the lyrics sheet , at least they had some assurance backup plan , haha

On another note: I haven't really looked into FLOWER FLOWER's lyrics much, but a while ago I looked at translations to some songs while listening to Spotlight. The ones I read were really good! I almost teared up at Tokei's lyrics, they're almost cheesy but so full of love and honesty; Inochi's lyrics made me think of Kamisama, they have the same kind of ferocity and darkness; Coffee is a very raw account of why yui made the move away from her solo career, it really makes me feel for her. Now I'm curious to see the other lyrics as well, yui really impressed me with these.

I agree, Powerful is a good choice. Inochi would be amazing but might be a little too hard for the occasion. Tokei is a great song, but I'm not sure that it's as good a representative of the band and this album as Powerful. Or maybe they should just go full punk fuck-the-record-labels mode and do Coffee.

Ok I finished downsized Taiyou no Uta significantly from the Blu ray ISO

The Blu-ray version of Taiyou no Uta is a whopping 32.9GB which's so insane @_@ D: , the downsize file I got after I converted it to .mp4 , it's about 2.61GB haha

However , the downsized file , as expected it doesn't have any English subtitles :x

So now I don't know what're your plans , you still want me to upload the converted raw file or you're ok with the version that kissasian uploads on their website ?

For a glorious moment, I forgot that FLOWER FLOWER is under Sony and clicked on the video, expecting to get to see something... Ugh, I'm so frustrated with Sony being so backwards about Youtube and the internet in general.

Anyway, I'm excited for the release, mostly for the live CD (I doubt I'll get to see the video recording). The poster is really nice.

And yeah Sony Japan is so backwards in doing things it's not funny . SPYAIR's videos are already not region block anymore and they should do that for their other artistes under them , like SID , Mika , UVERworld , Hirai Ken & others +_+

I do agree. SMEJ's 'protectionist' stance is atrocious. This is not healthy business - they're pretty much the largest label in Japan (aside from Avex), but unlike Avex, they're limiting its J-pop videos to Japan only when they don't realize we have foreign fans like us - and some artists do attract foreign fans such as YUI/FLOWER FLOWER and the Sakamichi groups! At least Nogizaka46 started not geoblocking for its newest videos, but it's still a problem with Keyakizaka46 as well.

(Sorry if I already said it before, but this isn't the only area Sony plays the 'walled garden' game: there's also the more well-known PS4 crossplay blocking with other consoles as well. And Vevo doesn't count as well - it's only a band-aid fix, not a 100% fix since, as what Karen said in another thread before, the video quality is sometimes not up to par, which was evident in the Vevo upload for Keyaki's 'Ambivalent' music video.)

Yeah I never like .ts files to begin with cos the filesize is so big x_x

Ubugoe is the only song that yui sung that she didn't played the guitar alongside (not counting Yaida Hitomi's Look Back Again she did with her) , the other songs yui played it

I didn't know yui knows how to whistle prior to seeing her sing YUI's CHE.R.RY & I'm amazed the song is still so popular after all these years

The audience clearly still love it

All in all TIMELESS SESSIONS in YOKOHAMA is a really nice concert , very different from the typical rock concert I'm used to seeing of any artiste

I agree the concert seemed really nice, and yui performed very well. I must say I wasn't a huge fan of this version of Powerful, this song was not made to be performed with a restrained, acoustic arrangement. Coffee and Ubugoe were very good, and CHE.R.RY was a cool surprise. I wasn't familiar with this song beforehand (or any of yui's pre-FLOWER FLOWER material, for that matter), but it was nice and catchy (the whistling!), I'm not surprised people remember it fondly.

But I can't help but wonder: how much time did yui and Hitomi Yaida have to practice their duet? Because it seemed like they both needed the sheet music desperately.
