Miyake Ken joins Takizawa Hideaki at 'TOBE'

It's been announced that Miyake Ken will carry out his activities as a member of Takizawa Hideaki's newly established company 'TOBE.'

Miyake left Johnny & Associates on May 2 of this year. At that time, he had informed his fans, "I need a little time to recharge in order to go to the next stage. I promise my fans that the day will come when I see you again, so it would make me happy if you would please wait for that day."

Then on July 2, his 44th birthday, Miyake made an appearance on TOBE's YouTube Live announcing, "At this time, I, Miyake Ken would like to officially announce that I will be working together with TOBE." He added, "I will do my best in order to respond to everyone's love. Please stay tuned to the rebirth of Miyake Ken."

Currently, Miyake is featured on the main page TOBE's official website. His official fan club has also been launched. He promised, "I plan to hold a lot of concerts. I will go and meet everyone all over Japan."

Miyake Ken opens YouTube channel + to hold live streaming event on August 1

Miyake Ken has opened an official YouTube channel!

Earlier this month, Miyake announced that he has joined Takizawa Hideaki's company TOBE. He will hold a live streaming event on August 1 from 9:00 pm JST. Prior to the event, fans can submit questions using the form here. On Twitter, Miyake wrote, "It's up to everyone's questions whether or not it will be fun, so I'm counting on you."

20th Century to open a coffee shop in Jingumae

'Kissa Nijusseiki,' a coffee shop produced by 20th Century will open at CORAL Bldg. in Jingumae, Tokyo on November 1.

The members of 20th Century felt sad that there are now less and less coffee shops compared to when they were growing up. They wanted to "leave behind a cafe culture for the future," so they spent about 2 years preparing for the opening of 'Kissa Nijusseiki.'

Many coffee shops are family-owned, and many of them have been shutting their doors due to the deterioration of the buildings or aging of its owners. 'Kissa Nijusseiki' took over some of the interior pieces of those shops and reused them, aiming to become a bridge for cafe culture of the future.

In addition to coffee, 'Kissa Nijusseiki' will serve Napolitan spaghetti, egg salad sandwich, sodas, etc. all inspired by the menu of Showa coffee shops. They will also have drip coffee and coffee beans for sale. Finally, they will place a JBL vintage speaker in the shop so cafe-goers can enjoy original songs that will only be played at the shop.
