This is a sequel to gakkun's Second most No.1's in history + 18 million singles sold topic.

With STEP you/is this LOVE? Ayu has passed Akina Nakamori in the number of singles to make #1 on the Oricon chart.

She is now tied with Mr Children in third place for the number of singles to reach #1:

Number of #1 Singles
B'z - 34
Seiko Matsuda - 25
Ayumi Hamasaki - 22
Mr. Children - 22
Akina Nakamori - 21

Among female singers only, Ayu is tied with Kyoko Koizumi for the most singles to make the Oricon Top 10:
