i just found this article yesterday in my dad's paper, they are talking about kumi breaking the record in singapore for an album to have the M-18 rate. excuse the big pictures. they won't load in imageshack....

too sexy, so the censorboard took twice the time to pass this album over. even taiwan can't aired the pv, but it made into their G-music chart, while singapore had sold around 5000 copies since April's release, which is quite good here.
what i'm not happy is that they got the 12th singles wrong. it should be different countries, but they wrote, sexy, cool, wild, hollywood, cute styles....
and those singles start from nov, isn't it? but they wrote from dec to feb...how i wish they would gets those facts right.

it's refering to singapore oversea version. because of the pvs.
'she was urging to have sex', 'dancing with a sword between her bottoms' and that 'she's wearing too little'...

Oh I get it now. I think they're too uptight. I don't see anything wrong with the the PVs. The only one I see that could be a problem would be 今すぐ欲しい Even that wasn't too bad though.

and D.D.D. the way kuu was dancing in the cell was a no-no here...

what's weirder is those staff at the cds stores seem to forget the M-18 rate, yesterday i just saw a secondary school girl(who look around 16 years old), buy the cd and the auntie did not even bother to check.

Being a Singaporean living in Singapore, I'm not surprised something like that happened. It's a very conservative country I would say. About a year plus back they tried to ban Japanese manga with nudity and sex scenes because some parents started complaining how unhealthy it would be for their kids blah blah -.-

So yeah, you get the idea. DUH.

Yar, living in Singapore, get used to the censorship here. If you thought there was restriction of freedom to air your views in your country, wait till you get to Singapore. It's not bad though, it protects the children from watching unnecessary crappy hollywood mushy stuff. But with regards to Kumi's album, Mmm ... I guess it's how you view it. Right till now, I still don't find Kumi sexy or hot. I respect her as a singer and that's that. Her ever changing image is just part and parcel of her career.

speaking about manga, you know there's some manga that are rated M-18 in other country? like Shingo Maayu's works are mostly M-18 in taiwan, well our singapore distrubuter 'Chuan Yi' just distribute it without rating!

i found out 2 years ago, i always buy taiwan version, so i never knew. What a shock! now, those M-18 manga are really unsuitable for those underage, i saw some primary school kids(around 11 to 12 years old)reading it.

Yeah i didnt too at first but after reading the english lyrics and watching the pv - i totally get the idea.

You cant blame Singapore from censoring it, heh even taiwan is taking extra care when playing her videos. THey are too suggestive

They don't like the word "sex" in Ima Sugu Hoshii and the fact there are two gays.

Other phrases like "lick me" are too "sexy" too. I kinda understand them

I've read some article about it.

they did not censor it, they just give it a rating...
still, the sales is quite good. 5000 copies! normally NC-16 and M-18 products will die in Singapore.
