to me... the chorus is a bit disconnected from the verse/middle . I see why some people said it's a bit fairyland-ish now... There's nothing too "fairyland" inside.. somehow if I replace this chorus to fairyland chorus, it fits better LOL...

Yes, that is true. But the song sounding like many other songs she has released is not a matter of taste.

ANGEL'S SONG =/= fairyland =/= Born to Be =/= BLUE BIRD to me xD

They're all separate entities in my opinion, but in in other people's viewpoints they're like.. the same song xD

Ayu has her originality... it's just that summer songs have tended to like...be that sound. xD I don't expect this from BoA, cause she has much.. different material.. Just look at INSPIRE. It had originality, and it didn't seem to fare that well here [even though it did have high sales that year] :p

...I sort of want another INSPIRE now. xD

The structures are exactly the same, the melodies are similar(very similar in some cases), and the general feeling that the music gives off is similar as well. You could also add Grateful Days to that list. Those are all matters of composition.

See, plenty of summer released songs that have some originality. I'm hoping that Beautiful Fighters will be like that, but the preview isn't very impressive thus far.

Beautiful Fighters seems like its going to be a good song. "we are beautiful fighters" keeps on replaying in my head!

when you track her music career from beginning to now, what else is left to do? To me its all been done... ayu should move over to classical like shimatani (only because shimatani's genre is my favourite at the moment)

What about NOTHING FROM NOTHING? Haha, I love that she explores new genres, it's refreshing and gives her respect as an artist.

Anyway back on topic, I love BLUE BIRD! Definitely one of my favorite single songs in a while...while I love them all, this one is definitely going to be staying in my head, and I can see myself singing this one years from now at Karaoke!

to me, the message reminds me of "Endless Sorrow". Or at least like its reciprocal or something.

I like it! I agree that it's not VERY special, and it does remind me a lot of fairyland, ANGEL'S SONG,...etc., but I think this will grow on me eventually like all the other Ayu songs did XD. Now I'm curious about what the lyrics are talking about hehe ^.^
