I think it's JOHAN PACHELBEL'S CANON. tüvärr, I don't have it on my computer, but I do love the adagio version, not the more fast versions. It's the perfect blend of simplicity, catchiness, variations on one theme, it can make you both sad, happy, nostalgic, triumphant depending on your mood when you listen to it.

The best song in the world is a song that I can really relate to all the time, and it's probably I'm Still Here by John Rezenik (ah, can't spell!). I listen to it when I'm up and when I'm down. It's just so worth it. ^_^

I forgot to mention Janet Jackson's upcoming single "Get it out me" so far the singles she has released from her new album has not been anything real special. But this song is her best in years. I'm addicted to it!

I listened to Victoria's Secret and I like the strange retro-oriental guitar feel however you describe it.

Many of their songs is like that, but I think that's one of their absolute top songs.
The band is from finland, hehe. You could also try White Pearl, Black Oceans... and The Boy Who Wanted to be a Real Puppet from them.
