Hi, all. I hope I'm not bothering anyone with this kind of request, but I've been a fan of Kuu's since TABOO came out, only thing is I don't have many of her albums. I own Black Cherry, Kingdom, Best ~third universe~ & UNIVERSE, and JAPONESQUE. I want to expand my collection while she's on break, and I was wondering what album you guys might suggest I buy first? Thanks for any advice you can give, sorry if I sound like I total noob, lol.

If you want studio albums, though, I'll second "feel my mind" but also recommend "secret". Those two albums are when she started with the ero-kakkoii image and had just begun to peak.

My favorite era from Kuu is starting with feel my mind and ending I guess around Black Cherry. Personally, I would suggest:

1. second session
2. secret
3. first things <-it contains all the singles up to secret or something, so you get a taste for all her older works.

BEST ~Second Sessions~ hands down. But make sure to replace the intro with the full song "Get It On" instead. It was released as a digital single after the album was released. If you've never heard "Love goes like..." get ready to piss yourself. The same goes for D.D.D.

feel my mind, secret, BEST -first things- and BEST -second session- are amazing. Also, affection and grow into one are great albums imo. I just personally love her style starting with feel my mind the best. :3

2 Love Me Back remixes! Love the original so much, hope the remixes are on par.
Hot Stuff, Teaser, JUICY, a Lowbrows remix, 2 dubstep - I can't wait!

From the old albums I recommend grow into one!
I love it the most, has some absolutely great tracks.
But BEST -first things- is actually a better choice if you want a good summary of her older stuff (her first 4 albums).
If you like her 12 singles project, then BEST -second session- as well, cause it isn't on a studio album.
Otherwise take Trick CD+2DVD - some of her most awesome fast songs are on that album, plus great concept and the gorgeous Dirty Ballroom show on the second DVD.

I'm going to chime in and say purchase [BEST~Second Session~] if you plan on expanding your collection. It's very well loved among Kuu fans, myself included. And make sure to purchase the CD+DVD version if you are able to. The PV's are nice.

I wasn't following Kuu closely when her last few pachinko machines came out. Is something special supposed to happen??

apparently every pachinko has some new stuff - PVs for album songs or different PVs for songs which already have original one, like Ai no Uta etc
I think it's just another means of promotion, since the Japanese love pachinko machines very much, as they are popular, pachinko can be a good way to promote Kuu & her songs an keep the interest while she's not being actively lately

you know, I'm ver glad we still get some Kuu news like new DH4 even though Kuu's supposed to be on hiatus

BEST ~second session~ is A MUST if you r a Kumi's fan. It just doesn't get old. I'd recommend grow into one. It is so underrated. ppl always recommend feel my mind, but to me grow into one>>>feel my mind. It was my first Kumi's album, I got it with affection after release date. man, I just so loved it.
And OMG these clocks I just so want them!

@Twinkle ! I got CD+DVD with my previous order, that's why it's not pictured. I saw pic of ur collection on twitter, looks impressive. Mine is pretty huge too. I believe I have like 70% of her releases (including different eds).

THIS. SO MUCH. Love goes like... is the song that made me a Kuu fan. When I heard it, it was like being hit with a brick. Its so amazing <3. It was my favorite song until I rediscovered Gentle Words.
