I think Boku no Kokoro o Tsukutte yo so far is doing better than Ken's recent singles

Especially since this's his 1st single song used to promote an animated movie in which Doraemon Nobita no Nankyoku Kachikouchi Dai Bouken opens this weekend in Japan's cinemas

Anyway , the last single of Ken that charted/did well on Oricon was Grotesque

But all in all , male solo artistes wise , this year is Ken's 22nd anniversary in the business & he's still doing alright in terms of longevity of his career so I don't need to worry that much

It's probably thanks to the movie the single is charting so well. I personally never liked Doraemon though lol

I think these days bands/groups have it way easier than single female or male artists in the music industry.

Yeah me neither haha but Doraemon is beloved in Japan so there

Now it's very hard for solo acts to do/sell well in Japan , let alone male . Ken is 1 of the rarity to still being able to sustain strongly in the business

Let alone , he still can do tours & most of the time , Ken's concerts tend to sold out

Like for last Christmas Eve's Ken's Bar 2016 X'mas Eve Special !! , that was sold out & it was held in Osaka Jo Hall which's a big venue that can accommodate 16,000

To me right now , Ken & Shimizu Shota are the only 2 male solo R&B acts that're still doing well and can go on tour + sell out venues (Shota also performs in big Arena venues like Ken & his tours also have the tendency to sold out as well)

Ken's the rare few that sounds better live in his concerts as what you hear in his CDs

Despite his image , he's actually very funny in real life . I know in his MCs , he always talk a lot of jokes

It's actually cos of him that got me into ARASHI because back then , during his Ken's Bar concert , he said he was so obsessed with Kitto Daijoubu , LOL

I still have that old clip of him talking about it in my hard disk & also yes Ken still likes that song even though it's a really old song but it's an oldie but goodie 1 x)

The fact he is a funny person makes him even more likeable

Music wise , I think the worst was 2009 - 2010 (don't get me started on CANDY erugh) as I didn't liked what Ken released around that time & I didn't quite liked JAPANESE SINGER either D:

I think Ken's recent releases improved after he released Kouhaku onwards . It's a shame like Kimi no Kodou wa Kimi ni Shika Narasenai , Plus One / TIME & Mahoutte Itte Ii Kana ? didn't do that well as they were all quite good

At least Boku no Kokoro o Tsukutte yo managed to claw back to the top 10 of Oricon

Anyway , Ken won BEST POP ARTIST at yesterday's SPACE SHOWER MUSIC AWARDS

I'm surprised Ken has not done an Asian tour especially since 2 years ago was his 20th anniversary , what a shame =x
