Ayaka announces new album & tour

Ayaka has announced that she will release a new album this fall, and to coincide with the album's release, she will be holding a nationwide tour.

It's been three and a half years since the singer released her last album "Rainbow Road" (April, 2015). The title, track list, and other details will be revealed at a later date.

While the tour schedule hasn't been fully revealed yet, we know that she will perform on December 16 at Osaka-jo Hall and December 26 at Nippon Budokan.

Their collaboration song Glory will be released digitally on 31st Aug



KREVA 1st performed Glory by himself at last Sept's 908 FESTIVAL 2017 where it was held at Nippon Budokan

For this year's 908 FESTIVAL 2018 that will be held on 31st Aug at the same venue , it will be the 1st time for both artistes to sing the song together onstage

For now , it's not known if this duet will be included in ayaka's upcoming new album

If I remember correctly, that would be Ayaka's second collab single for the year! (Remember Daichi Miura?) But considering the day of the week on release (Friday, 31 August), and there's also no catalog numbers, this is going to be released as a digital single.

Ayaka & KREVA to release a collaboration single

Ayaka and KREVA's collaboration song "Glory" will be digitally released on August 31.

This song was performed just once at KREVA's event '908 FESTIVAL 2017' held last September. At the time, Ayaka was thrilled to be invited to perform at KREVA's event, and as such, she wanted to do something that would make the crowd happy. She made a demo of "Glory" while imagining that she was singing together with KREVA. After receiving the demo, KREVA wrote the lyrics and arranged the song.

Ayaka will be appearing in this year's '908 FESTIVAL 2018' to be held on August 31 at Nippon Budokan. Fans can look forward to hearing this song again at the event.

I never listened to Kreva but I hope the song'll be good. Her collab with Miura Daichi was nice but forgettable. I barely listened to it.

I feel the 2 duets ayaka did with Kobukuro are still the best . I think both artistes should work on another duet again if possible

Yeah, I realized Ayaka's been in New Zealand for quite some time. For at least a couple of weeks or so? And with her husband Hiro?

Do you feel that you will like Heart Up if ayaka was only singing in the song ?

I thought the B-sides in Heart Up would be solo versions of them singing the song separately

And to hear 1/2 the song with and without their vocals separately , that was so weird

^Oh no. I have nothing against Miura's voice. He has a sweet and nice voice that fit Ayaka's voice. That's the arrangement of the chorus that make the song a bit boring for me. I feel like she has a lot of those kind of songs but Heart up isn't as good as her past ballads.

Fair enough . Some said that Miura Daichi & Matsushita Yuya should work on something together cos their music styles are very similar with each other

So when it was announced that ayaka & Miura will be working on something together , I was surprised but I agree that Heart Up didn't tug me enough unlike the 2 duets ayaka did with Kobukuro years ago

ayaka should stop wearing muted colours like grey , white , black . I will be genuinely shocked if she wear something besides the 3 colours in a future outfit of hers

30 y/o will be ayaka's 1st studio album release in 3 1/2 years since 2015's Rainbow Road and it will be released in 5 versions :

I really can't wait for this album release! (Planning to order this alongside Rina Katahira's best album releasing on the same day.)

Just a heads-up: The FC version includes some kind of notebook with handwritten messages and illustrations by Ayaka herself, but sadly, it's DVD, not Blu-ray.

Because this is the first time an Ayaka album is being released with a Blu-ray version! FINALLY! A Blu-ray HD version instead of just the '480p' DVD material we've been used to!
