A lot of her songs are great, more mainstream try her Synchronicity album, more experimental/rock stuff, try her before Nana things. That should sum it up pretty well.

Honestly I can't think of 1 song that I don't like of hers, they're all too great!...If you really listen to her mini-albums, and then the studio albums of hers, you instantly fall in love with her.

My self imposed exile from AHS didn't work (I am so gonna fail my exams...) and I have been dying to post in this thread (my Olivia obsession seems to now be rivalling that of Slash, Eric Clapton, L'arc en Ciel and Utada).

Does anyone know where you can buy the actual Lost Lolli and Synchronicity albums? Everywhere I go lists them as "Out of Print"

I managed to get them on the US iTunes store though which was cool. The only thing is that Cupid isn't on either of them! I am so annoyed because I went and brought "sugarbloodsuckers" from the Merry & Hell Go Around single and completely overlooked it! *sigh*

I remember reading that Synchronicity was out of print for many years now, so chances of finding a physical copy of it are slim.

And "Cupid", just a song for me, can't see the appeal

yesasia doesn't have it any more either I am glad that I finally brought the albums, but with iTunes, I wonder how much money actually goes back to the artist to be honest...

I think that OLIVIA, would have more success in the US for her music. I just re-listened to my Lost Lolli CD again and its an awesome album. And i don't really rock themed music at all. AVEX/Vision Factory/OLIVIA should make a compilation of her best English songs, and a couple new ones and try it out world wide. The only real problem is that OLIVIA cannot perform live in front of more than 10 people without being ultra nervous lol.

That's too bad - I'm sure audiences worldwide would love her voice. I also get ultra-nervous in front of crowds, so I know what that feels like. Then again, maybe if she held more concerts with large audiences, she might get over that feeling?

For me, I really like her mainstream-oriented material, probably because I'm naturally pop-oriented. Her NANA album and The Cloudy Dreamer are my favorites (and the first to go on my iPod), but I can't seem to get into The Lost Lolli as much. I've heard Synchronicity is more mainstream-ish than The Lost Lolli, so I'll try that.

I totally agree~ OLIVIA's also a lot more fluent in English than Japanese, so it just makes more sense to me ^_^; And her music just strikes me as more western than Japanese in general. Honestly, I don't even consider The Lost Lolli a Japanese album, seeing as how it's all in English (with such awesome lyrics, too) and is heavily western influenced xD I could see it being a hit with those people who like underground/experimental music and such~

Sugarbloodsuckers is honestly a scary song. Cupid is quite eerie, but it's quite cool at parts too...
