^that's how I see it.

I personally only see the shock as a product of what she wants. There's no denying that Gaga likes to be over the top and grand...but, if she was just doing something for the hell of it....she'd do things a little bit differently.

There is method to what she's doing. And even if you don't think there is...maybe you should try to look at what she does in a different way.

What does wearing a meat dress say about how we treat animals?

Why just wear the fur? Why do we think the fur is the only beautiful part of the animal? Why not wear the whole thing? What does wearing the meat raw make you think about?

This is why art is great. Because it has the ability to produce in us all sorts of feelings and thoughts, and different ways of looking at things, regardless if it's what she meant or not.

Art works indirectly all the time.

I think with the meat dress she just wore it to get attention and just came up with some BS meaning off the top of her head.
If the dress was for any kind of animal rights issue then its very contradictory, " let me make a statement about animal rights by killing a herd of cows and then wearing their decaying carcasses on my body." If she wanted to make a statement about animal rights she could have just worn a gorilla suit or a rat costume or something.

And honesty, I think she preaches that everything is in the sake of art and has some deep meaning just as an explanation as to why she does the thing she does, but it's really not. It's all just to get attention and extend her 15 min. for as long as possible, its just like when Madonna used take her clothes off to get attention, except instead Gaga is putting more weirder looking clothes on.

uhm ... I like her meat dress.

But I do think it's gross that she used real meat. If she used fake meat it would be much cooler

meh who cares lol

The meat dress was cool.

In any case, she's gonna get attention, whether people like it or not, simply because her music is great.

What she chooses to do with it is her thing.

About her tattoos...what is that big long one on her arm?

it's a quote from German poet Rainer Maria Rilke "In the deepest hour of the night, confess to yourself that you would die if you were forbidden to write. And look deep into your heart where it spreads its roots, the answer, and ask yourself, must I write?"

I like that quote. So deep and cool.

And I don't give a damn about her clothes. Gaga can wear whatever she wants, for me her music is the most important thing and I'm dying slowly inside as there's no new album yet. But when it's released, I'll make sure I'll buy it at once as it's probably as good as The Fame Monster/The Fame <3

wow...ignorance is bliss isn't it?

it's been said by gaga what the dress meant and it had nothing to do with animal rights.

and the extending her "15 minutes"???....do you now know what kind of force gaga is on the music industry?

she's probably one of the only artists that have come out in the past few years that is going to be around for a very long time, just as successful as she is now.

and the last time i checked, she's broken record after record for her music. this 15 minutes thing youre spewing just makes you look that much more unaware of how much of an influencial artist she's been the past two years and will continue to be.

There is no doubt about the records and amazing things Gagaloo has achieved, I guess what some people are wondering is if she is a "fad" or if she will continue on with her monster success. Some people feel that the general public is going to get sick of her over the top antics, some say she is the most creative and iconic artist in a long time and that she is already a part of history. I honestly love her music and aside from a few quirks, I think she is an honest human being and I would love for her to continue on for years to come. However, I have no idea what her future holds. For the time being, she has only been around for a short period of time and it's hard to say how it will turn out. She could retire in 2012! Or, she could outsell MJ. Who knows...

I kinda like it! It's not as good as the original version, but I already listened to that one too much, so this is a fresh new way of listening to this amazing song again.

She said on the Today show that she would reveal the album title by tattooing it on her body and revealing it on New Year's Eve. I guess she couldn't wait? Haha, anticipating it~
