you know what.

I've attended her concerts 12 times now: CDL 2012-2013, A BEST LIVE, AT 2016 MADE IN JAPAN, CDL 2016-2017, TOUR 2017

and yesterday I made a list of all songs I've heard live. and the list consists of more than 80 songs!! I've seen performances of songs from all her albums except Party Queen.

evolution, SURREAL, Boys & Girls are the only songs performed on every concert I've attended.

One thing is saying your opinion, another is imposing it, like if Ayu is doing wrong. Simply, "I don't like the setlist because...", is an opinion. "OMG Ayu, you and your setlist are so boring and repetitive!!1!!" I think it's not a valid opinion because this isn't true.

Actually that's exactly what an opinion is. It could be, oh so very wrong to you but it is so right to me. Disagree with it sure, but don't demean it just because you disagree. Come on now

I'm just a little tired of her performing WARNING all the time. That to me is one of her greater offenses these days.

As for her performing her classics so often...I mean, come on, most artists would do that, I would imagine.

I do see how someone might feel that she is becoming less creative recently, but I agree with what some of the others said that these days, she seems to be trying to improve on last years theme, and so on. Back when, she was very innovative and raised the bar quite a bit. But, time always changes people.

On the one hand, the classics take up space in the setlist for rarer songs, but if I went to an Ayu concert (one day!) and I didn't get to see Boys & Girls, evolution, SURREAL, Fly high etc I'd be really disappointed. The setlists aren't just for fans who buy dvds and follow every tour online. They are for all the more casual fans who want to see those classics too.

Am I the only one who likes "+" more than independent? That long instrumental break is really cool. I never really paid attention to this song but lately it feels really good to listen to. Also, it's much more energetic.

Another song that has grown on me a lot is Lady Dynamite. I appreciate its roughness in terms of sound and that pumping bass.

I don't even really listen to independent like that. I think + is waaay better. It is really a feel good song, brings up some early 2000s nostalgia while being timeless as well. I also love the way she sings in it. Rainbow has many gems for me as it is one of my favorite ayu albums.

Idk, I personally really like that Ayu's been performing WARNING so often. It's nice to see one of her newer songs become a concert staple instead of songs that are only 15+ years old. Plus, WARNING is super fun and energetic - it's really incredible to see it live.

As for independent and +, for some reason I just can't get into them

+ IS really great as a concert/encore song though. I wish she would've performed it more because it sounds like it was recorded to be sung live in concert

I don't really mind the same songs over and over, but using the exact same performance is so boring now. The wedding dress veil, the behind the bars chair break, the chain bondage switch, the feather dress and leather bondage whip...these are over used at this point.

Giving the performances a little twist could change up the way we see it. But I guess she does those the same way more cause of the audience than of her own will.

Yep, exactly how I feel. The wedding dress veil is especially annoying to me at this point.

What are some ayu ballads you guys can listen to over and over and not get tired of?

I noticed I'm never not in the mood to hear TO BE, RAINBOW, or Key ~eternal tie ver.~. Just beautiful songs in every way, especially lyrically.

Don't talk about that one, she may listen and use it again

I understand that those performances are iconic and that reproducing them reiforces that and that the public most likely loves seeing it live from times to times, but I wouldn't mind not seeing them again too
