I think that Jolin could be referred as the Ayu of Taiwan... But, it's sounds kinda weird.

lol i was having a talk with my mom about jolin's use of "Princess" and never "I" in her blogs

at first i thought it was just arrogance in a way, but then my mom brought up the point that maybe it's because of jolin's early insecurities that developed into a kind of arrogance?

what do you guys think?

Well, there's also the possibility pull off what Japanese girls like to do - calling themselves in 3rd persons perspective. Like say I'm a Japanese girl and my name is Ayumi, I might say things like

"Ayumi is hungry" rather than "I am hungry"

If I'm not wrong it's supposed to be "cute" so, maybe that's why? lol

EDIT: But I like how she doesn't care even if people thinks she's being arrogant!

Does she use "wo" in that? Maybe she uses Princess for most of her posts; talking about really casual stuff, but when she starts speaking of the more important things, she would change the way she addresses herself... or at least I think so.

I'm not sure what to think of her reference to herself as "Princess". I was shy as a child too and also kind of "introverted" but I'm not gonna call myself Princess ... -even though I know I am one -

actually i hate her personal attitude but I cant hate her song butterfly.

any recommendation beside Hua Hu Die and wu niang?
I just like her catchy and upbeat song
