But still this is the mid year ranking... iirc Tohoshinki's Stand by U sold over 200k and it was released in July and God knows which other bands are gonna release singles/have already released singles... hmm.

I think S/S is a great single since I happen to like both songs, but I think the single lacked some of those exclusive goodies that can be included... not to mention it had 2 versions. Say if S/S had another version, maybe it'd have an additional 5k copies sold, so it'd stand at 112k right now instead.

Judging from how well S/S did in the download charts, I'd say it had some potential to sell well... but then since the 10th anniversary year of good sales, our judgement has been clouded because MW and D/G sold really well.

Before the 10th anniversary, Ayu's last physical single in 2007 was T2M right? And that didn't even hit 110k. And Glitter/fated sold moderately. I think S/S is doing normally in this time and age, but the 10th anniversary has made us think it's not selling well.

10th annniversaries are great for marketing.

Sunrise ~LOVE is ALL~'s chaku uta FULL (full song) is certified gold and had over 100,000 legal downloads.

Well if the boybands are doing well then so be it... after all 5 million bucks divided by 13 EXILE members is 400k+ bucks for one guy... significantly less than a million bucks just for Ayu/Kuu/Namie/solo female singer.

to me I'm real annoyed when people slam artistes head on especially those artistes that I listen & those that they don't

for me I just shut my trap & mind my own business since it's stupid to get angry/annoyed towards such people & besides I believe in the whole Karma effect too

& isn't it ironic that you're belittling towards people who's the same gender as you ?

when all else fails , there's always the Ignore button to be used too

It's okay as long as we still love whoever we're listening to,

And hmm Days/GREEN fell to #18 with the updated list... and there's 3 more months... I hope it can hang onto the Top 20 by the end of the year chart, that will be so awesome.

Wow, remember when the AKB38 fans thought they could pull a number 1 with their single iiwake maybe? It was a special single or something, but then they couldn't make a weekly number 1. Look at how close they are to Ayu's S/S now! Just 2000 copies off, and they're selling more weekly too.

I guess Ayu's a great 1st week seller.

I hope so even though I have a feeling Days / GREEN might probably be a bit lower than top20 overall before the Oricon 2009 year wraps up

I know a lot of established acts are putting out material next month & in Nov (YUI , B'z

, SID & many others) so that will probably hampen things but we'll see

yup they will be putting out MY LONELY TOWN on 14th Oct in 2 editions

from what I know , they seldom release their singles in CD + DVD's so no surprises it's dubbed as 'limited edition' in this context

it might not sell as well as Ichibu to Zenbu / DIVE since I assumed it doesn't have a tie in but the ballad version of Ichibu to Zenbu can be found in their new single in due time & the preview's
