tbh, I was so shocked when i first saw the pic...
yea Ayu has done several times of half naked photoshoots in the past... but not with the expression like this before.... this expression definitely shows *sorrytosay* a bit vulgarity/nudity (we all can tell that)... but, I don't really find it that annoying though, i still love her of what she's done because I think she's an adult now and she's suitable of doing this...and if sometimes she wants to have this kind of photoshoots then that's ok for me..just that she has to be reminded of that her actual image.. but I'm sure that Ayu just feels like she wants to do what she has never done before... and i hope she won't continue bringing this image in the near future time... i would love to see her being sexy like this like once in a while...I don't want her because of this new image ruining the image she already has for all this time....

because it's just sad that her having this image, some ppl will just directly saying Ayu is a **** star, she is a *******.... it happens to the other artists who all the sudden turn their image like this... (eg. Erika, Maki Goto,...etc), ppl just somehow get used to the image that the artist has been showing off in the past... and once its changed..then ppl will just find it weird/annoying

ok just my 2 cents though..

I don't think her expression is vulgar. It seems to me that she's being a little playful/silly and that's what her expression is about.
I often get sick of seeing female stars taking their clothes off in photoshoots but I have no problem with it if it's done tastefully and respectfully, like it is here. It's not ****ty at all and I've always loved black and white photos. Very much looking forward to seeing the rest of the shoots.

And just a side note: Ayu would not have done this if she didn't want to. Something like this is great because it really get's people talking.

I think for me, I don't care if she is naked..

It's the stupid/vulgar expression on her face, it makes her look like a TOTALLY different person.
This is not Hamasaki Ayumi for me... =\

I kind of understand where GRACE was coming from, but I don't think nearly what GRACE thinks...
It's just kind of disappointing...

I think you are thinking of a different sort of playful than I am haha. This photo ,to me, seems really personal, as if it was taken by a lover. It's like she's showing a different side of herself.

I can understand your feelings but she is still the same Ayu. She sometimes does unexpected things but fundamentally she has always remained the same person, so this is not a sign that she will be posing like this forever.

People seem to forgot her idol days... some pictures were WAAAY worse and way vulgar...
And she wasn't even an adult!

I'm just guessing about the nails being red since ayu said in TA a few weeks ago that she had red nails for a photo shoot she was doing and they went with the theme of it. The theme of this shoot is obviously sexy so I think the red nails would totally fit with it. I'm hoping the pictures are a mixture of black and white pics and color pics, kind of like how this shoot was.

Actually I don't find anything vulgar on that pic

she's just acting 'sexy and naughty' but in a cute way. Would be vulgar if she were naked, just covered by a odd yellow liquid while she eats a banana. Lol, would be so gross.
Anyway I kinda agree with who said, her breasts looks more 'big' than before. But it's not the first time, sometimes they enlarge her breasts randomly ~~with wonderbra~~. But they've done a good job, her breasts looks pretty natural though (and not fugly-plastic).

Really? I think because most people are kind of disappointed with her facial expression.

I really loved the photoshop in like 2002 with her and those guys in bondage ones...
It's because she looked strong and in control.

Or usually if she is nude, it looks elegant or artistic, or with a message.

Her image to me is "strong" "in control," and that she doesn't need to pose like "Come to bed" or ~~MOE~~

Moe is some Akihabara term, and it's definitely used only by otaku ones,
And it kind of degrades her character, because Moe is used just for making money from pervert old men, or otaku teenagers in Japan.

If she had a laughing face, or like a stoic face, or like fierce b**ch face, it'd be great.
But I really really hate her facial expression. It looks like a bimbo...

Anyways, yeah... I understand everyone has own opinion...

She looks really good actually but I prefer she not do awkward shots like this. This photo would look just as nice if she were clothed.

Sometimes Leslie Kee does shoots like this. Actually, quite often he has his (mostly male) models posing near-nude or nude... haha.
