Looks can be deceiving. Obviously Ayu does not think he is worthless, otherwise she would still be single, would she not? Our opinions obviously aren't going to sway her judgment. I just don't see how people can judge a person based on their looks. You have absolutely no idea as to what his character is like. From fans who met him in LA (the ones who had coffee with him), he is a very nice, sweet guy. I don't know many people who are in the entertainment industry that are willing to meet with their girlfriends fans personally, so to me, that says a lot about him.

I think Ayu probably told him beforehand. Maybe he expected to marry before she did? lol I'm pretty sure that he's still only engaged to his girl currently...

Why is everyone so concerned about Nagase? They split 3 years ago - god knows what he's been up to. He may have a girlfriend since months, even years!

^Absolutely right. He's probably happy for her. Didn't they say they are friends, or like siblings? Believe it or not, it's possible to get over your last relationship and move on! And they both did.

Well.. that's just my personal opinion on that matter! ^^;; But I've heard at one of the Kohaku performances, he saw her tattoo and it got kind of awkward! lol But the truth is, ayu has found someone better and he's a sweetie!

^I doubt you know him personally. It's the same when people say that her relationship with Manuel is so much better as he is much more suited for Ayu. How do you know? You cannot know. I think Nagase Tomoya is a nice person and so is Manuel Schwarz. I think Tomoya Nagase made Ayu happy for a long time at a time when she didn't post at twitter and TA as excesively as she does know, so people didn't really know that much about this relationship compared to her private affairs nowadays. Anyway, I already wrote this in another thread but the fact that Tomoya Nagase was her "Honey" the man she dedicated a lot of albums to and even wrote a song about him that just oozes love and fluffy feelings....*sigh* It wasn't like he mistreated her. I think it was a beautiful relationship if we judge it by their lyrics. In the end it didn't work out, but that's life, right? They both started anew and that's it.

I was only basing that statement on my own personal relationship.. I didn't say that I know him!

I only say Mannie's a sweetheart because he takes time to answer fans on twitter!

But who knows? Maybe Tomoya was controlling and she didn't appreciate that.

But like I said, it's my own personal opinion on this matter! ^^;;;

^Yes, I read that it was your personal opinion. I just think there is too much negativity on Ayus relationship with Tomoya Nagase on this forum. It brought us loads of great lyrics and I for one don't think he's a horrible person. But it seems that way with a lot of people that are close to/friends with Ayu, like the Naoya Urata bashing that also happened here, when he's just a very good friend to Ayu. *shrugs*

^^ If I remember, the reason why ayu broke up with Tomoya was because she felt like he was more family than lover to her. Some couples get like that, they spend too long together and the romance turns into familial love. It's really sad.

She talks about it in Together When... lyrics too, like how loving him is her biggest truth but her biggest lie too.

I know right!! Before the registering marriage TA entry came out, I did wonder for a while if they didn't already get married in Virgin Road PV (for real!!) and were just pretending all this time.

The whole thing felt like a conspiracy for some time lol.
