I haven't listen to the solos yet but hmm is it me or the group's tracks are a lot more mellow/slower than usual ? :O

Besides LOCK ON & ONE DAY which're great , the other tracks are mellower & also more erm organic sounding ?

Now I understand why SMILE FOR YOU didn't got a PV as eh I don't think this's PV worthy LOCK ON is a much better choice

yes....another awesome, awesome opening number from KAT-TUN. it doesn't have the epic orchestra like TABOO or N.M.P, but it still has punch! i think i already expressed my love for this song, so NEXT!

ONE DAY
wow, i'm quite surprised at this. it's a dance-pop tune. i really like it, tbh! OMG THE VIOLIN OR WHATEVER AT THE END. PERRRRRFECT. i generally don't like it when KAT-TUN does pop, but DANCE POP IS OKAY WITH ME, TBQH.

BIRTH
i like BIRTH. lol. it's enjoyable.

ULTIMATE WHEELS
this is one of my fave singles from the "CHAIN" era. i can never get tired of it. i do think it's one of KAT-TUN's most underrated songs that doesn't get enough praise. it's just so...essential KAT-TUN.

FINALE
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOA. JUNNOSUKE. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?! this song is so hot! i had no idea you had it in you, bb boy. i pretty much have the same expression i had when i first listened to "GIRLS". my little cutie Iriguchi Deguchi Taguchi is being all sexy. AND I LOVE IT. his not-so-stellar voice isn't a problem in this song. it's so...PERFECT.

STEP BY STEP
Nakamaruuuuu has very consistent solos. it's no surprise i love STEP BY STEP. i think the only complaint is that it isn't ~new~ but whatever. it's still a really damn good song. one of my faves of him for sure, along with FILM.

RUN FOR YOU
i lovvvve dance pop songs, okay. one of my favorite singles from the era. AND THE PV IS AWESOME.

A no Hi no You ni
hmmm, a strange transition from RUN FOR YOU to this song. it has a different tone from the previous songs. it's the first truly slow song on the album. it's almost R&B-esque. it's a very pleasant song, but i feel like i'll be skipping this song in the future. LOOOOOL.

OKAY KAMENASHI, MY BODY IS READY FOR THIS SOLO. SINCE IT'S AFTER A NO HI NO YOU NI, I DON'T EXPECT IT TO BE LIKE PLASTIC TEARS, EVEN THOUGH I REALLY WANT YOU TO RELEASE THAT REALLY SEXY SONG. WHY YOU GOTTA BE LIKE THAT AND DENY ME SEXINESS. IT'S LIKE YOU HATE ME OR SOMETHING. LET'S TALK IT OUT, KAME. YOU & ME, BABY. OH HEY, THIS SONG IS QUITE NICE. IT'S LIKE I'M IN SPACE WITH YOU. IT'S LIKE YOU'RE SINGING TO ME AND WE'RE LOOKING AT THE STARS OR SOMETHING. IT'S NOT LIKE...THAT BAD. IT'S NOT A KIZUNA, BUT I'M QUITE IMPRESSED. YOUR VOICE IS SO SMOOTH IN THIS TRACK. in other words, i really like this song! i think the low expectations helped me like the song. Kamenashi's voice is truly something in this song. i think he's underrated as a singer, tbh. like i think he has better control than Jin. Jin has a nice voice, but he doesn't use it well (listen to "The Fifth Season"). if you get what i am saying. Kame uses his voice & elevates the song, doesn't strain it. it's very lovely!

SMILE FOR YOU
hahaha, i am so glad LOCK ON got the PV & not this song. it's sort of a standard pop song. it's cute, but i'm already anticipating the next song, lol.

Hakanai Yubisaki
omg there's English in this song, lol. and i can understand! their pronunciation is actually good, in my opinion. it's a nice song.

Ueda is a very talented dude, but i wasn't really impressed with any of his solos since "Ai no Hana" (lol, i had to look up what his solo was in NMP. oops. but i did like RABBIT OR WOLF?) i think ~again is a very solid solo. definitely better than NEET MAN and Hana no Mau Machi, imo. i still want a studio Love in snow tho. no shame.

CHANGE UR WORLD
good, good. we're getting back into the more upbeat territory. CHANGE UR WORLD is an awesome KAT-TUN song. awesome.

WHITE
i always tend to forget this song was a single, LMAO. whenever i try to remember this song, PERFECT pops up instead...i really like PERFECT. haha.

SOLDIER
YES. YEEEES. YEEEEEEESSSSSSSS. here we go. the thing i like about KAT-TUN albums...epic openings & epic endings. they are usually the best songs on the album. no exceptions here. soooooooo goooooood. this is so damn good. I AM IN LOVE ALREADY.

THERE IS A BONUS TRACK? WHAT'S THE NAME? "CHAIN OF LOVE"? I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS. IT'S SUCH A JOHNNY'S ANTHEM. it makes me nostalgic for some odd reason. like i'm imagining baby!KAT-TUN singing this on Shounen Club. wow. ;____; i'm getting a lot of feelings. LOL.

you know what i noticed...this is honestly the first KAT-TUN album as a 5-man group. i mean, yes, cartoon KAT-TUN II You & NO MORE PAIN were recorded majority as a 5-man group, but cKTIIY had Jin's vocals on SIGNAL, YOU, & the bonus CD. NMP had Love yourself & THE D-MOTION. CHAIN truly marks a new era in KAT-TUN's history. i think it's a great step forward and i'm positive KAT-TUN will do great!

all honesty, i don't think CHAIN is their best effort. my favorite KAT-TUN album is still Break the Records. i think they should've inserted STAR RIDER in the tracklist somewhere & in my perfect world PERFECT would be in it instead of WHITE, but you can't get rid of WHITE...lol. however, KAT-TUN's on their 6th album and to be able to surprise me with tracks like LOCK ON & SOLDIER prove to me they still have it. many Johnny's sort of plateau or lose their spark after their debut. i think KAT-TUN will continue to impress me. even though i've grown up a lot since the day BEST OF KAT-TUN & Real Face dropped (i was a young & vibrant 16 year old!), KAT-TUN has sort of been a stable aspect of my life. AND I HAVE WEATHERED ALL THE STORMS THEY THREW AT ME. ALL OF THEM.

Jin pisses off important producer

With the news of Akanishi Jin’s marriage, rumors have been flying saying that its possible Akanishi could be let go from the agency, according to a well-informed insider, and now one more obstacle has appeared.

Akanishi has apparently had a huge fight with a big-shot Japanese producer. Supposedly, the producer was ticked off by Akanishi’s terrible manners. ”Even though Akanishi bowed in apology, the producer didn’t forgive him”, according to an insider. “He’s never thought good of Akanishi and doesn’t have good feelings about his advancement in America either.”

The producer is said to be a singer and has powerful influence in the American music industry. Whether or not Akanishi’s tour across all of America succeeds or not is in the hands of reconciling with this producer.
