I think that's cause Kuu took TATTOO and made a more energetic version out of it. But if she had still sung it in a sexy way, people would be like "Oh, she's not as sexy as Akina", "What a **** omg"

TATTOO is absolutely amazing! I didn't know so many people didn't like it.
When I went to search for the live performance of it on Youtube, it had so many dislikes that I thought the video was fake

We know that Kumi can use her chest voice really well, like she do when she sings magic, but I think she did a good job with TATTOO making with her own way to sing. But yeah, Akina's voice is way more deep and low.

Maybe it was a lot of Akina fans expecting her to sing it the same way, fans sometimes get funny when artists who cover the songs of their fav artists change it quite a bit, as kuu did. I for one really like TATTOO as well.
I'm very glad Kuu changes the songs to suit her and makes them more energetic, she's great at it!
