id really like a fancy anniversary release of distance like we got for first love.
demo versions of sunglasses, parody and kettobase! would be really interesting.

^I wouldn't have the money for that, and it'd be overkill. I think it was a one time thing because First love is not only her highest selling album, but also her debut album. Could you imagine though having a 15th anniversary version for all her albums? haha. I think she should at least do a collection album with rare songs, remixes, demos like with First love, but it should span from Distance to SCV2. I'd hope it'd be 2 disks filled with stuff. I'd definitely put money aside for that.

I don't know about you guys, but I thought the Bonus Disc for First Love Anniversary Edition was really weak.

The demos were really, really, really raw, much more brainstorm than actual first versions of the songs, and the "new" tracks were in low quality and not really interesting.
Aside from that, we already had those remixes and etc

I'd really love a remix album, or instrumentals for album tracks.

^She's given us ONE new song in the last 4 years. She can record herself on the toilet sobbing from the pain of extreme explosive diarrhea after eating half her weight in Mexican food and taking half a bottle of laxatives because it makes her feel alive for all I care. I'll take what I can get.

TBH, as far as Hikki Remixes go, I think the only one I've ever heard was the one on the Colors single, which an old friend lent me once... I liked it a lot. However, I sadly admit I've never bothered listening to any others.

That doesn't at all look like a lot, but aren't the majority of her remixes only found on singles? It was the S&C -PLANITb Remix- I heard off the Colors single. Wish I still had the remix though.

In terms of release speed I like to compare Hikaru Utada with Christina Aguilera. Xtina's only been around slightly longer than Hikki, but has still released a little less in terms of number of albums than Hikki has. Still both take FOREVER. Only plus side with Hikki IMO, is ALL her stuff has remained EXTREMELY GOOD over the years.

yeah here let me add a bit more information. You know you can get her songs anywhere online. She's a pretty popular artist and a lot of places have her entire discography up for download. or alternatively you can use itunes.

utada is the only artist I can say I like every single remix from. I feel like they're all personal. (This is not an attack on ayu, but) Utada doesn't have half her discography filled with useless remixes she's probably never even heard herself just to fill up a cd. Every time she does a ballad version (passion after the battle, prisoner of love quiet version, flavor of life ballad version, etc) she resings the vocals which I really wish more artists did instead of just slapping the vocal track on a violin playing for 4 minutes and calling it an "acoustic orchestra version".

Thanks. Actually TBH, as much as I like Ayu I only like very specific remixes she's done. Even the Classical albums felt lazy. Would've been better if she had of re-sung each of the tracks to fit the new version of it. I'm actually more fond of Kuu's remixes on the whole. Anyways, thanks for the list. I wanna take a better look into these. I'm actually quite excited. I'm very picky on remixes, but I have my faith in Hikki for these.

Actually I included all those in the zip file I uploaded

but I left them out of the list on purpose.

I solely listed original remixes

The dub mix of time will tell is just an extended version of the original song with english singing.
The John Sanborn version of First Love is just the original song with an added saxophone.
The short edits of Simple and Clean and Hikari (again) are the same thing as the long edits, but shorter. not different remixes
Then there's passion after the battle. I just consider it a ballad version like the quiet version of Prisoner of love, or Final Distance being the ballad version of Distance, or the ballad version of Flavor of life. Not a real "remix"

Same reason I didn't list the -2007 mix- of Fly me to the moon, because I don't really consider it a "remix". Personally I wouldn't even count the -Drama mix- of Eternally a mix if it wasn't for the drum replacement that sounds completely different.

I always considered Addicted to You (Up-In-Heaven Mix) like an original version because it's in the album and it's not really remixed (or mixed with anything). =P

^I actually have all the remixes I mentioned on my computer and I put them all in a playlist and windows media player says it's 119 minutes total run time. So that means you can listen to every remix she's ever released in under 2 hours. lol Crazy

I've read that the Underwater mix of Addicted To You is the original; while the Up-In-Heaven mix is the remixed version. But idk.
