Contrail sounds pretty different! I was nervous about the plans to redo all of the songs but I think it was done very tastefully and the end result is a unique high quality hits collection. It's almost like Namie made a tribute album for herself!

To be honest, this (along with the potential concert lottery entry) have convinced me to buy the album. I also just made the cut off for the fan space version. That makes this my first Namie purchase since...the So Crazy / Come single.

I went to check on a few tracks before going to bed... Body Feels EXIT is really good, but WANT ME WANT ME is terrible )): WHAT A FEELING and CSCEIS are okay.

WOWOWOW I was NOT expecting all the songs to be revamped (or most of them anyhoo). I thought they were just going to be re-recorded with updated vocals and she wasn't going to touch anything past her PLAY era. Damn. I'm crying so much rn.

FINALLY! The first 7 songs are everything I needed from life, CYC? is also quite nice, loved Dr., but oh my WANT ME, WANT ME sounded like she had no willingness to enjoy the song hahah! Also Baby Don't Cry was quite bad compared to perfect original version. Some songs didn't need to be changed, but I appreciate the effort and I adore some of the new versions, so all in all 10/10 for me just cos when it hits the right spots, IT HITS!

NEVER END is a slight disappointment for me. I love the updated music but sometimes the new vocals don't sound right and make me want the original vocals.

OMG these new versions are even more of a let down than I expected. I'll gladly stick to the originals. Most of these lack any kind of emotion. W ME W ME is terrible!

I agree. I was actually super excited to listen to this and see the updates. While CD 1 is good for the most part, I feel like CD 2 added a lot of uneeded changes and her voice really doesn't have the same impact as the originals. For example, I really love the original Damage, and while I like the track updates in the new version, her voice really is lacking in emotion. It is funny since this has always been a common complaint with Namie, but I feel like this album really highlights it. So Crazy sounds really good with her deeper voice on this album though.

There are a few good new-recordings among these. Dr. and Break It for example - but overall an remaster would have been enough. Or real changes like in Break It.
