i remember at the time thinking how great it would be if ayumi would do something so avant garde...and while this isn't quite as great, i think the new covers are a step in that direction.

Didn't see it? Only the covers actually.
But maybe that's because of the laptops here at school don't display everything. Pretty weird, because I have often trouble with the pictures, not text.
