If she sings Kimi ni Aeru Kara ... alone , the song itself is already nice but somehow with the inclusion of the rap vocals from RYO the SKYWALKER , it kinda downgraded the song a bit :x

but yeah the 2 B-sides are ace even though Tokyo Lullaby is a cover but it's nice still

I know right, she has soft voice and keep picking rappers with 'rough' voice, it sounds awkward. If she wants collabs so bad she should work with JAYED, his voice is incredible and it would suit her so much.

it's just the 'in' thing, BENI copied on Che'Nelle to begin with ahah. Not sure Aoyama's cd will do that well though, if it's only western covers and not Japanese songs in english..

It could be successfull if it gets promoted enough, and it'll also depend on the songs they picked I think.

GILLE, Che'Nelle and BENI all succedeed with their cover albums so who knows? And see now? Che'Nelle's first original album is at #2 weekly. Anything could happen.

^^You might have a point, but I just never have any interest in cover albums. I still haven't listened to a single song from kumi or Beni's cover albums. idk what it is.

I do listen to some cover albums by Ken Hirai & Kobukuro but I listen selectively because not necessary all the songs they covered will be something I know

It's the same with BENI . Outta so many songs she covered in COVERS , I only know 2 of the originals

I'm not sure for Aoyama's case since she's kinda doing the opposite of what BENI does but if it's going to be something like what Ken Hirai did with his 2 Ken's Bar cover albums , why not ?
