Her manager already said the album will feature a two-year long campaign and will spawn multiple singles like Teenage Dream did, so I think 8 singles are a good number =))

Birthday will definitely be a single. She'll be missing out if she doesn't release it. The public would eat it up.

^ omg no =\ I really don't like short film videos T__T they cut my vibe everytime they stop the song for the dialogs and drama scenes... I just want a video with A LOT of coreography and colors *--* something hindu-ish, something colorful and a lot of fire!!

I disagree with the comparisons, people are comparing apples to oranges really.

Born This Way's demise was a product of hype, chart rigging and more hype. I really think doing the 99 cents + the AT&T deal was deadly, the media was gonna use it as cannon fodder when gaga screws up. The moment judas "flopped" critics and fanbases alike were mocking Gaga for trying to rig the charts.

Then came the bad single decisions, in what world did they think it was a good idea to follow up Born This Way (big success, anthem etc.) with Judas? It's not radio friendly, it's controversial (or at least trying to be) and the video didn't help. You & I was also a piss poor decision. I think a lot of people rolled their eyes at gaga when she started doing the whole "male persona" shtick. Then came the cherry on top which was the disastrous tour and the cancelations.

Katy Perry is very well managed and executes her ideas in a smart way. Prism is doing well because Katy is consistent, she did not try to one up herself or prove to anyone that she's going to sell x amount of copies in a week. She knows the general public in america don't care that much about numbers and figures. It's just us forum dwellers and bloggers that pay attention to it. As long as she carries her brand well, it won't end badly for her.

Plus we have no idea what her 4th album might sound like. The Teenage dream era started off very differently than it how it ended. So who do people think Lady gaga is to use her as some type trajectory for other artist? Sure both are pop sirens but it's very different styles and image.

I'm so happy they announced it's going to be a loooong ride with PRISM!!
That's what I wanted! A stream of singles with amazing concepts to keep me company through the years, 'till it'll be time for a new album, of course.

I guess a new album from Katy will come only between 2017-2018, maybe we'll get a special version of PRISM next year like the one from Teenage Dream ^^

I loved her tribute but it gathered quite a fair few of negative response from Twitter.

I'm so pumped for Prismatic World Tour. Ugh, she won't be coming into my city until July though. I might not even be there. So, if not I won't see her until August.
