It's like they set her up to fail! They're too concerned with covering cost and such they didn't put out a lot of copies! The casual listener isn't going to go through hell and back to find an album from a virtually unknown artist
 .

But really, I don't think sells would have been much better where it would have made a difference if the Album was stocked efficiently enough because she couldn't even make a dent with her own Japanese Fanbase over in Japan considering what they were getting for their money and the fact that it was bundled with a BEST ALBUM. How much of an impact do you really think they could have made over here? It was said that BoA was only heavily promoting to the Asian Community over here. That was a mistake.

I feel that most times BoA has no control how she's being handled because her team doesn't fully understand and her already established fans view her as a K-Pop/J-Pop idol in American rather than an Artist trying to make it as an American styled Artist. MapleStory is not good promotion. She's being listed on a site of gamers who are probably familiar with her or her career back in Asia. How does that reach the mass amounts of American music listeners? It doesn't. The only decent promotion I believe she had was Forever21, which itself isn't all that great.

It's kind of ridiculous. She needs to take a page from Utada and tackle this differently, trying to appeal more to the everyday person, not people who already know and love you.

Actually, I don't think it's SM's fault. I bet the process of getting her CD into stores is much the same of getting your book into a bookstore. The store has to place the order to get the artist's CDs on the shelf. If the store doesn't place an order then obviously they're not going to stock the CD. I'm guessing that since BoA's an unknown artist that no one's heard of there's no incentive for the store to have her CD in stock.
If people were to place orders for her CD, then that would get them to stock and let them know there's actually interest for that artist.

i think boa's engrish is cute tbh. she is working on being fluent in three (maybe more) languages, cut the girl some slack? most people can't even balance two (i have trouble myself sometimes
