If you mean total sales then it'll take another week or so to pass JAPONESQUE. Also as said before ayaka has had heavy promotion and massive hype surrounding this album release while Kuu had none so those are factors to be considered.

　2年間の活動休止を経て再始動した歌手・絢香の復帰第1弾『The beginning』（2月1日発売）が初週10.8万枚を売り上げ、2/13付週間アルバムランキング首位に初登場した。シングル・アルバムを通じて絢香の首位獲得は、2009年 10/12付のベストアルバム『ayaka’s History 2006-2009』（09年9月発売）以来2年4ヶ月ぶりとなった。

　通算3作目のアルバム首位を獲得した絢香は「この作品を手に取ってくださったすべての皆様に心から感謝の 気持ちを伝えたいです。引き続き、この作品を丁寧に届けていけるよう頑張ります！」と気持ちを新たにしてい た。

　本作『The beginning』は、絢香が立ち上げた自主レーベル「A stAtion」から発売した初のセルフプロデュース作で、3作目のオリジナルアルバム。絢香がオリジナル 盤で首位を獲得したのは、2006年11/13付の1stアルバム『First Message』（2006年11月発売）以来、5年3ヶ月ぶりとなった。
