Funny, at the saitama shows the audience was generally moved and disturbed by the interlude videos. Glad to hear her voice is put up well, it really was great during the show and yes that Return Road dress is beautiful live

I think that by 'over the top' he/she means
forced or over dramatic and poorly acted i guess:-/ ?
I tend to skip that part of concert when too many dancers start to show up when
she is changing outfits, and that goes for videos as well but if i find them interesting i watch them

Yeah, more people were just...shocked, I guess, by the interlude videos. Yes, Ayu's videos tend to be over-the-top, but I think people weren't expecting THAT, the abuse, to happen. Kinda shocked to hear people were laughing, though. The audiences at the Saitama shows were dead silent.

And @SunshineSlayer - Funny how people weren't responsive for NaNaNa at these shows. People were in AWE during the performances - mostly by all the laser lights and the "tick tick tock" dancing parts. Other than that, yeah, it wasn't THAT great of a performance, but certainly not a lackluster performance, either.

I was shocked at first but the videos were long and all they did in the video and on stage is hit or kick each other... so it all lost its effect, at least on me. I LOVE appears, and I'm glad she sang it, but it got ruined (for me) because of the "violence".

With NaNaNa on Saturday, at first we couldn't hear Ayu singing "tick tick tick", her voice was really low and weak... and yeah, people in my end weren't too into it...

So... I still don't know how I feel about the concert and the "new" way she's doing it. While I DID enjoy it, there are some parts I could've done without. I still really want to buy the DVD when it comes out, ehehe!

Oh, so it's hilariously over the top in the sense that it's just like "Wait did that just happen" HAHAHA." and not what I thought, haha.

In the MC she was saying that performing in Kanto was like coming back home... "tadaima"... and that's about it, yes. She did exchange... pleasantries with Timmy, but nothing much. Oh well. I miss the MCs from the early days... hearing her sing the Boss CM song at the T.A. live Zepp Fukuoka back in 2003 was just so priceless.
Maybe Ayu's just not in the mood to do MCs right now...

She seems to save the super long MCs for the last sets of shows nowadays.

I wonder if she was told by her vocal coach to shorten them to preserve her voice or something.

Got my tickets for Osaka. They're arena floor seats row 8. However they're seats 69/70 out of 72 (equivalent to A4 block). Really hope I'm not too far on the side with these tickets.

I wonder how much you had to pay for it. I saw tickets for 60-100 000 yen for 4th row...

20,000 yen. So I must have scored a good deal, the only downside being they are on the side of the front rows rather than the centre.

Is there a ramp/catwalk this year?

May I ask where you bought it?
I payed 16 500 yen for row 33 for Fukuoka show and still don't know the seat number :-)

Yes there is a catwalk with small center stage^^
I was row 40 seat 63/64. (out of 72 i guess) but i was still close to the stage. My row was ap. the heigh of the center stage, so Ayu was ao. 15m away from me when walking over the catwalk^^

That's good, you lucked out with the row there.

I guess with mine I'll be kind-of close regardless of whether she's on the stage or on the catwalk. Only time she might be 15m away from me is if she walks over to the right side of the stage. Can't remember if she moves much from the centre of the stage to the sides during concerts? I think she does it more often during the encore?

Should I go to the 2nd Osaka concert as well? Worth seeing the exact same show twice? If so I'll probably get a cheaper arena seated ticket.

I don't know what the Osaka arena's layout looks like, but when I went to Yoyogi for AT2009, I was on the arena floor off to the side and still could see the cat walk and stage really well, so maybe you'll be lucky!
