3min sounds like a track coming from Perfume, but probably it's just me.
Also! The first track of Penny Rain "pluie" is composed by Yuki Kajiura, and she said it serves as an overture for I beg you. Definitely can't wait! ![]() Also also! Aimer has been announced as guest for the 「Yuki Kajiura LIVE TOUR vol.#15 ~The Junctions of Fiction 2019~」 August 11 and 16 performances at Nakano Sun Plaza of Tokyo. If you guys here interested to Kalafina as well, I mentioned in that thread, that Keiko (finally, after missing for a year) will be back in that lives too as one of the main singers.

Seeing how more and more of her new songs have an upbeat and carefree/happy sound reminds me of how interesting her evolution has been and is. She started with a slow jazz cover album before actually debuting. Then, she adopted a mysterious image where you could only focus on her voice and music. I remember I was very curious about the reason why she didn't show her face and the level of anticipating new things from her was really high. I think that the way they handled her carreer is very good, introducing her to the general public with slow steps for a more memorable impact. Then, she started experimenting more with her music, adding rock elements and a more ethereal vibe to her songs. Her Live at anywhere concerts really felt like a great opportunity to connect with her fans on a more intimate level, while slowly creating a more colourful and interactive world. From DAWN onwards she really took off, which was really exciting to see, especially as I've followed her since 2011. With daydream you could already see her attaining some kind of mainstream relevance. The new albums are a new step in her journey, I think that she'll do even better sales wise (hopefully). Too bad that there is not too much new material, but at least we get two albums Last edited by Surreal17; 8th April 2019 at 08:46 PM. |

Stand by you is my favourite new song from Penny Rain!!
Also, she debuted yesterday at #2 (Penny Rain), respectively at #3 (Sun Dance) with 20k each, and today she's at #1 and #2 with around #6k each. So she sold approx. 52k combined in 2 days, as I see that the albums are counted as parts of the same studio album. |

DAWN is actually her turning point from the "dark", as you can see all the albums before dawn are night-themed (Sleepless Nights, Midnight Sun, After Dark...) and after the Dawn, she's in the wilderness for daydream. For those who bought DAWN, there's a small note under the CD case "After the darkest breakdown, finally I reach the dawn" which marks her turning point and she's finally showing herself to the public. It's either her management handled her very well or she always offers a conceptual stuff, but in the end, she's just very interesting.
Aimer is not slowing down. Another release is coming. New digital single "STAND-ALONE" for drama series. Promotional images under the cut. Spoiler:

Already?
Well, the concept behind her career is interesting but musically I think that she is going into the generic world more and more. As if to enter into the light means that she has to fit what the large audience buys. Sun Dance and Penny Rain are good albums but none of the tracks really stands out. They're similar to what she released since Daydream era and they're similar to rock anime songs a lot. Usually I'm more into her dark sad songs but here I prefer Sun Dance than Penny Rain. Monochrome Syndrome is my favourite songs among the new tracks. |

I'm kinda agree with that, only a few ones are solid for me. Tracks made by other popular composer like Hana no Uta, I beg you, and i-mage killed me. Ah, including Ref:rain, but that one is composed by the composer who composed most tracks in Sun Dance.
Anyway, the new preview for STAND-ALONE. I'm definitely not feeling it.

The preview isn't bad. It seems that the instrumentation'll be interesting and different from what she did. Even if it's not new in the music world of course.

Short version of Torches'pv and preview of all the other songs on the single.
Not a fan of the pv. I think they failed to create a video with great shots. :/ |

For the cities with 2-day performances, they alternate with one day ~bleu de rouge~ and the next day ~rouge de bleu~. So I'm guessing there will be 2 setlists? |

Blind to you is my favourite song of this single. It's so soothing in spite of the lyrics. I really like the contrast between the meaning and the music. Daisy sounds a bit of place in Torches. It's not my cup of tea.
