this PV is lame, boring and all summery...it looks like they abandoned her in that deserted island because her "friends" could not stand another PV like INSPIRE and fairyland... what a boring PV i almost fell asleep in watching that.

after watching it again basically its what it is, a happy fun time PV. I personally don't like these videos all that much but I did like the blue and white contrast when she was standing alone with the water/sand/coulds/sky.

if you don't like the song, just listen to it more...and you'll find it's such a perfect song!

Blue Bird is a very happy-summer PV.

I love how Ayu play with the camera while she sing, and how sexy and coqueta she looks ... i love to see her smiling too.

But... those happy-things are not enough... i think that the PV looks more like a TvCM of some kind of Credit Card or Travel Agency... and the use of VideoClip codes is poor.

Anyway... i can`t say that the pv is bad... is just that the PV Director is not very creative... that`s all.

I really liked. I guess Ayu&staff decided a very happy PV to contrast with last year Fairyland.

And I didn't tought it was a cheap video. It wasn't an expensive video but it wasn't as cheap as Startin' or Born to Be...

It's her best PV in awhile... but yes, it wasn't creative or different or deep... but it made me smile and like the song more.

And I don't think they filmed in Hawaii. It's just a beach, for god sake, they can filme anywhere there's a nice not crowded beach. And yes, I also think it's Guam.

Maybe. But hitomi videos aren't exactly creative. They're usually her face and... yeah, her face. Sometimes they have a bird or a few dancers, but it's usually something really uncreative, nothing that makes you go "wow". I mean, it's obvious she has a very low-budget for her PVs, so, to be fair, she does a nice job.

I think her music is very nice tough.

I think startin' was cheap. It was just outfits, a few dudes in it, and some computer generations and animations.
I do agree it was probably the most expensive, though. Who cares though, all three of those PVs sucked in my opinion.

Still though, seeing ruixiong89's post has actually made me like the PV and song a little bit more. I still think Ayu could be trying harder though.

Hehe...Yey. I loved the PV. But I have to say I'm going with the side of the FAIRYLANDERS agreeing that it reminded me too much of fairyland, which to me is a good thing. I believe that Ayu is capable of more, but this time she is taking the success of last year's summer song into this year with BLUE BIRD. We can all hear it in the sound (and the PV). What gets me is the similar shooting style ~you notice that significant "rush of the zoom" at the beginning like fairyland?~, gathered friends, beach dancing (moving anyway). However, I must say I liked fairyland's PV much much more - I mean, I get the whole let's have fun deal - but in fairyland's case, the PV left people with an unexpected feel in the middle with the whole burning thing and is totally unforgettable. Nonetheless, BLUE BIRD is a wonderful song and has a great PV, just like any other Ayu music vid. Uy. I'm gonna stop talking now. ^_^

Truthfully, i don't think it was a bad PV. I think it worked perfectly with the song. Since this is a summer song, it worked perfectly with ocean scene, swim suits, and summer night party. Overall, this PV made me think that summer is almost here!!!!!!!

Right, I was thinking they're pretty cheap nowadays (or maybe they really are now?), but the website about the most expensive videos tells something opposite, that many videos became really expensive due to CG usage... the morphing technique is supposedly pretty expensive... but it's 2006 now (and it's high-tech Japan), I dunno how it loooks...


And I wonder how much did they pump up the colours in the video. When you look at Fairyland, just the moment when the PV starts, you can see how they real footage was not so much juicy-green and perfect-blue, it was pretty bright and not so paradise-looking, and when the camera gets closer to the shore, the colours simply get brighter, stronger and all better-looking!! I wouldn't be surprised if they did touch ups for the colours in BLUE BIRD PV as well, becouse it looks really nice, sometimes too nice...

I'm sure they edited the light setting for BLUE BIRD, they did a lot with fairyland aswell.

Ah, stop with the complaining and comparing... BLUE BIRD PV was just fine, summery and simple. Not all her PV's need to be deep and complex. And her hair looked amazing!

To me, this PV was saying something like: "Forget complexity and enjoy summer."
