No offense to Namie but it's not that big of a feat when you look at the release schedule for the past 6 weeks. Absolutely nothing. The biggest name to release has probably been Monkey Majik and that's so sad

Yeah thats true Namie was really lucky with the date BF was released.

Is A COMPLETE being released next week? lol some people on another forum were actually thinking Namie would beat Ayu next week

^There is NO WAY that will happen, unless Ayu pulls a bigger flop than NOTHING FROM NOTHING.

But good job Namie anyway - not only was the run amazing, but the numbers prove that she is on top again. If it was only about timing, she wouldn't have over a million copies sold.

I think the most A COMPLETE will sustain its #1 spot on Oricon say max. 5 weeks? After that, I think Namie will be #1 again.

Well said, there are many artists who release and get #1 but the total sales are poor (points at some of Ayu's singles who did that)...don't forget that Kanjani8 took the spot against Namie's 60s70s80s but they sold way less than her in the end =P

And there is way that Namie at her 7th week can beat Ayu's next release lol...I don't think Ayu will sell like Namie but 7th week sales wont be that high ne!

^sou da ne, that's exactly what I was getting at. Namie is getting, maybe 5,500 copies sold a day at this point? Ayu will easily sell 10,000 and upwards on her first day of release. I'm curious how A COMPLETE will fare compared to BF in the long run though, but I think BF is going to beat it out in the end, just based on the market + music style, content and packaging (Namie has 2 new songs, and an attractive package, Ayu has only one redone song, and IMO, a cheap looking cover shot).

The only thing that people may not be taking into account that may factor in is the number of junior high/high school aged fans of Ayu who are just now getting into her and who don't have copies of her earlier singles/albums. They could really go for A COMPLETE (assuming that they have the money/their parents buy it for them).

I'm sure only for a week because the week after B'z is releasing their 20th anniversary best album so I think this week is Namie's last week for topping the chart

LOL I think it would mark the end of the career (and the end of the world maybe) if that happened. I don't think Ayumi is capable of having a first week lower than 200k for an album.
