Let's pray to god the sales will drop like crazy from this day onward, or they might even beat Arashi. I'd rather have a boyband on top than a 15 year-old girl band that prance about in bikinis >.<.

Also, the album charts have been so PATHETIC the last couple of week. First day of the week, number one, UNDER 10.000 copies? That's just... T_T

Yeah, I personally am not a big AKB48 fan (to me they are a poor mans Morning Musume) but their popularity has really been growing. I work at two junior high schools with a 500+ student body each and have had them do self introductions to me where they talk about their favorite artists and quite a lot of them have said AKB. So its not just lonely otaku anymore that are into them.

has the music DVD chart for Oricon been updated today ? it hasn't at their end

I wonder where BREAKERZ LIVE TOUR 2009～2010 “FIGHTERZ” DVD debuted today , I hope it's a good position it get as they really deserve it

Yeah, I think Sakura no Shiori debuted with 320.000 copies in its first week. After that they only sold around 45.000 more. But this time, they already have 350.000 the first day x_x

MAYBE ... but you shouldn't forget that 15 years ago there were also singles that sold over 2 million ... we don't know how high some of those figures were XD.

Well, AKB48 sold around 50.000 copies today. Guess they really did have an enormous amount of pre-orders. I'm guessing sales will drop like crazy from now on. They'll still reach 500k though.
