^Well i've always found that Korean CDs usually don't last EXTREMELY long before they go out of print. Where like Japanese CDs for example, are usually still available 10 years later.

For me, it's been the opposite... like, my favorite Japanese artists (excluding Ayu and H!P) I have to buy their limited releases asap or they'll be gone in a few months and only available via YAJ at twice-three times the price. While I can still easily get some of SNSD's limited release/repackages with the first press items, lol. But it's probably just the artists I listen to. XD

^maybe depends on the artist. I've come on many Korean artists like a couple years into their career and most of the previous albums are sold out. However, there are a few less popular Japanese artists where I can't buy them from YA or CDJ after so long.

I was REALLY afraid it can happen... And it happened.

Coming back to the Kpop scene after 5 years, singer BoA will not be appearing on variety shows.

BoA said in a recent interview, “There are no plans for appearance on variety shows. Fans do not want it too. The reason is because I don’t have the confidence to give laughter if I appear on variety shows.”

SBS Strong Heart PD also talked about this through Twitter, “I met her as a reporter. Honestly she has no plans to appear on variety show with the fear that she will not do well.”

BoA said, “The BoA that the masses want is not the BoA on variety shows but the BoA who presents a good performance. It is priority that I work on showing good performances.”

BoA ended with, “Instead of doing variety, I will work hard on Twitter. I will communicate with fans through Twitter.”

It's not too much of a big loss. Variety shows can be quite ridiculous anyway and if her heart isn't in it then it'd just be a chore to watch her.

At least now she doesn't have to worry about ending up in blackface like that one boyband guy did.

Honestly, I don't even think she'll be all that amusing on variety shows. As fierce as she is when performing, she turns into the typical Asian bundle of shyness when it's her turn to talk, on shows like Music Station. I generally see her as one of the more boring guests : /

She's a funny person, but only when she's comfortable in her surroundings. I don't mind the Twitter thing, since it's about as personal as she can get!
