^LOL..from what i rememberd...they said that the rock in Rock'n'Roll C wasnt adequately appropriate for that album to get such a title...
i do hope for a rock song too...something...different

@Picaflor: but I always considered alterna rock. Anyway I can't really blame the composers much. And ferry corsten "days" wasn't much of an actual period; just as well I love Connected and various remixes
Anyhow its not like CREAs compositions weren't for a bunch of rock songs too
Its just an element of her career. That was more prominent starting with CREA mostly. Although crea wasn't too hot for my story since my two least fav songs on the album are hers. Just as well, I wouldn't mind a return. But I wouldn't mind her not returning to compose.

@truehappiness: eh. The irony of ayu fans is so lovely really. It calls for great observations. I guess GUILTY etc was too much rock? Amusing. There's never too much of anything imo. But there's nothing wrong with wanting more of something

@Ranma: yes. Those singles like gave me some of my fav ayu songs. Usually the rock side though. Like alterna.

I just want a rock song on L. Crossroad basically has one.
The rest of L can be balanced and whatev. But I hope a rock song shall appear. And maybe for this pv which I'm super excited for!!!!! ^___^

I mean, it sounds like you're asking for bubblegum pop then if you think even Sparkle is too rockish. She's never done too much of what you seem to want then in the first place. There's glitter, BLUE BIRD, Boys & Girls, independent, fairyland, NEXT LEVEL...

Idk man, be content with what she gives us, lol. At the very least she doesn't do just one genre completely with an album. I mean, even with GUILTY there was glitter and (don't) leave me alone, and with the so-called experimental NEXT LEVEL she had songs that didn't fit with the rest of the album's theme. Rock'n'Roll Circus only had like 3 rock songs, and so on.

We need startin'/sexy little things part 2. XD or at least a video like that. Everything she has so far is emotional, or angry. we need fun!
And these are exactly the people who she should never do songs like especially Britney, Amuro and Perfume. Pop songs with heavy rock accent have been Ayu's signature thru the bigger part of her career and it's in a way what sets her apart from all those pop artists. It is one of the reasons I love her music as much. And those songs are some of my faves. I think she has more than enough "fun" songs and if you wanna listen to those, well those artists sure have enough so I don't see a problem

I think, Ayu has done all the 3 major genres throughout her past releases, ballad, pop and pop rock..so aren't we all get enough?

i'm sure for L, judging from the action-like PV she's doing right now, i think we'll get another "startin'" type of song, or Mirrocle World...or microphone.. sort of upbeat rock..
I miss her strong upbeat rock song too

I don't care if it's a rock or cutesy. I would only like a dynamic song

I would welcome anything on "L" so long it isn't like 3 ballads or 2 ballads lol. Ayu can work ANY genre of music tbh so I have confidence in her

Lol its like what I said. I understand missing him. But its quite different from CREA which actually had a major presence for yrs. Besides. Connected wasn't even a japanese single. It just seemed like a fling on the side that won't happen again most likely

Yes. Yes she can. Its a part of her awesomeness. Even if its 3 ballads. I'd be happy if they were good ballads. A good song is a good song.
I just hope for another rock one hehe

When I think of pop, I think of madonna, cher, britney spears, koda kumi, namie amuro, perfume, etc. and I couldn't imagine any of them releasing such songs as talkin' 2 myself, game, or microphone. Ayu has never been the one to follow typical pop formula. She's not a cookie-cutter pop star who churns out dance tunes 24/7. Her brand of pop has ALWAYS been different. And you're right, what makes Ayu Ayu is the simple fact that few of those people you mentioned could release the music she does with such a perfect blend of pop and rock and such emotion. Rock has been incorporated in her music almost from the beginning.

Also, when Ayu did make music with a similar atmosphere of those artists you mentioned - i.e. NEXT LEVEL, she was bashed for it. She had dance music, generic pop ballads, sassy pop-rock and apparently it wasn't good enough at the time It wasn't "polished" as some would say. So she went "back to her roots" as she says and we got Rock'n'Roll Circus. We get rock ballads like MOON and summer pop rock like blossom. POP+ROCK = Ayu. And I don't mean to sound rude when I say this, I honestly don't; but if you're so fed up with it, I don't know why you continue to listen to her music anyway because it's never going to change...

And if it does, I'm sure it'll be a problem for fans because some (not you babe ^^) are not satisfied with anything and they should go back to the cookie-cutters like Britney Spears for generic pop music with no music range what-so-ever.

Sparkle is not rock'ish, it's just very experimental and alternative (and trance'y) and there was a lot of her songs that people think they was "rocky". Even evolution. They're just very massive, very dynamite and have a lot of sounds that's are very hard to fit any genre. Ayu was always like that, but some songs are mainly rock. It was "About you" and "Humming 7/4". The rest have guitars but it's still not main genred as rock. It's genre that Ayu have and should not be classifield. Cause it's difficult. It's just "Ayu genre"

^ cause it is! It's just her (most of them) 'rock' songs are not typically rock. Some of they are, but most of them are just 'Ayu rock'

^ my friend always told me that AYu's rock is not a rock music.. lol.. rock should be harder than what we've heard so far..
But somehow i think ayu's rock is rock enough to be called as rock songs.. but maybe pop rock is the suitable term for her songs like talkin 2 myself, microphone, because of you, About You, and etc.. and i love ayu's rock music because it's not too loud or too noisy.. i'm not a rock music lover myself...

@AyUmIXx - too much "rock" in your post I even got confused

Rock music has lots of levels it's kinda useless to try to categorise everything. I would categorize Ayu's sound as "good music" that fits the best to me
