I'm loving this release, who's with me?

The more CD's she belts out, the better!

And besides, I don't actually have the song Sanctuary in my physical discography (I bought TITO JP version), so that's a nice addition.

(but I do admit.. an In The Flesh combination would be a lot better)

LOL....what should be done is.....only the people who buy this album will have an access code to the ITF concert footage on iTunes We all know this album isn't going to sell itself.....but yeah....even though she didn't become a hit in the US doesn't mean that the 35,000 people who did buy the album are worthless to the company....its kind of Hikki's fault anyway for not putting in any effort to promote....I hope IDJ will learn and drop her for good. It'll be a relief for the both of them. For now they'll still milk her for every last cent. Even BoA with her flop released a deluxe edition so this actually isnt quite a shocker....

I think this "The Best Utada" will be the end of her EPop conquest. I'm actually happy about this because I dun really like her Epop. Also, it's meaningless to release new English songs in the future if she's not doing better promotions.

This makes me think... is she the one taking control of what promotions should be made, or a team design such (poor) promotion tactic for her? The tactic they use in Japan obviously doesn't work with the US market.

I just bought This Is The One last week and the songs are pretty catchy but I was right the lyrics are just atrocious (for Hikki).

Hikki looks so gorgeous~

I will not accept another negative word about her Utada career!!

Hotel Lobby, Kremlin Dusk and Animato.

Isn't that enough quality to convince people her E-pop was definitely worth the trouble?

^lol not particularly when you compare them to her Japanese songs :/

I mean, dont get me wrong, I love her Utada career...but...I have to say, her Japanese stuff does own it. I guess that's what people say mostly as well...

I don't think she went too "mainstream" with the lyrics though. No one in the mainstream industry has lyrics like she does, nor would ever have, because they kind of sound like one big joke.

Meh, she had the opportunity to do whatever she wanted, and she took it lol I probably would have too...

anyway, the saving grace of her Utada career, for me, is YMMWTBAM, Kremlin Dusk, and Devil Inside lol

I LOVE her English stuff! Actually, percentage wise (of what she has in each language), I think there are more English songs I like, than Japanese.

LOL what a useless release. Whatever, let her do whatever she wants. Although, I wish she included In The Flesh with Utada The Best rather than make it ~online stream~

How many people here think she herself decided on this release? She might have her own management, but that doesn't mean she has full control on EVERYTHING she does. This was most likely a move by the record company, as was the case for Gackt's Eleventh Day Single Collection, right before he made the move from Nippon Crown to Avex.

Me too! Her English songs are great. She had great jpop songs too, but a lot of not so great ones are mixed in.

I hope her English career doesn't totally end, altho it would not surprise me.
